PEP英语五年级下册Unit 6 Part A lets learnI. The analysis of teaching content It is the fourth lesson focusing on the present continuous tense in this book. There are five verb phrases which appeared in previous lessons. They are used in Ss daily life, and also interesting and easy to comprehend. II. The analysis of studentsOur students are in Grade 5. They are active and interested in games. They have learnt some verb phrases in previous. Its not difficult for them to understand and use these verbs and sentence patterns. III. Teaching aims1. Aims on the knowledgeThe first one is on the knowledge.(1) To enable the Ss to understand and use the five verb phrases.(2) To enable the Ss to master the sentence pattern. 2. Aims on the abilitiesThe second one is on the abilities. (1) To develop Ss abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.(2) To improve Ss abilities of communication and co-operation.3. Aims on the emotion The third one is on the emotion.To foster the Ss team-work spirits.IV. Key-points Learn to use the phrases: doing morning exercises, having. class, eating lunch, reading a book, listening to music and the sentence patterns: What is she/he doing? She/He is . V. Difficult points The Ss can use the words and patterns to describe that someone is doing something in a proper scene, and make a simple dialogue.VI. Teaching methodsIn this lesson, I will use the Gaming Teaching Method, The Situational Teaching Method and Task-based Teaching Method. And I will use CAI and word cards in this lesson.Step1 .Warm-upIt will take about 3mins. 1. Greetings.2. Play a game: 1, 2, 3, people wood to review the verb phrases and the sentence pattern: What are you doing? Im 3. Sing a song.Purpose: The purpose of this step is to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss and review the learnt knowledge.Step2. Presentation It will take about 18 mins. 1. Teach the Ss new verb phrases and the sentence patterns(1)From the CAI to show the picture(上午六点陈洁正在做早操)T: Its 6:00a.m. Whats Chen Jie doing ?S1: Shes doing morning exercises.a.出示单词卡领读词组doing morning exercisesb.指名读词组,说句子Shes doing morning exercises.c.男生问女生答。(2)From the CAI to show the picture(上午九点陈洁正在上英语课)T: Its 9:00a.m. Whats Chen Jie doing ?S2: Shes having English class.a.出示单词卡领读词组having English classb.指名读词组,说句子Shes having English class.c.一组问二组答。2.同样方法教:eating lunch , reading a book , listening to music.Purpose: The CAI can provide a real situation for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings.Step3. Practice It will take about 4 mins .1. Work in pairs. Firstly have the Ss Look at the blackboard design and work in pairs. One asks and the other answers.2. Choose 2 or 3 pairs to show.Purpose: From the activities to check the knowledge Ss have learnt in this period. Step4.Consolidation and extensionIt will take about 13 mins.1. Show some pictures(出示一些学生在操场活动的照片)to make a real situation(1)Choose a student to make a modelT: Look at this photo. Shes Li Xiang. Whats she doing?S1: Shes dancing.T: Look at Su Jinzhan. Whats he doing?S1: Hes listening to music.T: Do you like listening to music?S1(2)Have the students talk about the pictures in pairs and make a new dialogue according to the model.(3)Choose 2 or 3 pairs to show.(4)At last make a magic. The magic can make the dialogues changed into a passage.Purpose: By this step to see if they can apply the phrases and sentence patterns correctly and skillfully. Also their ability of communication will be well trained.2. Show four topics(1)I will divide the Ss into four groups, and let each group choose a card, in which there will be a topic. Give each group 3 mins to talk about the topic in the card.(2)Then let the Ss write down the passage about the topic. The group leader will write on the board while the others on the paper.(3)Choose 2 or 3 groups to show.Purpose: By this step to help the Ss consolidate the phrases and sentences. And also their ability of co-operation will be well trained.Step5. HomeworkIt will take about 2 mins.1. Its 8:00 p.m. What are your family doing? Please write a short passage about them.Purpose: Revision is important, so the Ss should speak E
