Lets enjoy a piece of music. Then play the music. Ask again: Do you know this piece of music? Get the students to answer. Yes, its the background music of the weather report in CCTV 1. Write “ weather report ” on the blackboard, and teach the new words:weather.Step 2 Presentation Listen to a weather report and ask: What places did it mention? (Hello! Everyone. Here is a weather report. Its sunny in Beijing. Shanghai is cloudy. Its windy in Boston. Its raining in Toronto. In Moscow, it is snowing. Thank you for listening. ) Get the students to find out the places. Teach the new places: Boston, Toronto, Moscow. Teacher asks: Hows the weather in Beijing/Shanghai/Boston/.?Show the pictures to teach the new words: sunny, cloudy, windy, raining, snowing. Repeat.Step 3 Practice 1.Read the new words by the students,then get the students read them one by one. 2. Finish 1a. Match the words with the letters in the picture,then check the answers.Step 4 Listening practice Activity 1b. Listen and write these city names in the boxes in the picture.
