5B Unit 9 The English Club 季永华一、单元教材分析本单元的核心教学内容是介绍国家、国籍和语言,重点学习句型Where are you from? Do you speak.?及其答语。在Book 3A第十一单元和Book 4B第八单元中,学生已学过China, Chinese, English, 因此,教师可采用以旧带新的方法,拓展相关内容。本单元着重介绍六个国家的名称和语言。教师可结合学生掌握情况,适当补充另外一些国家的名称和语言,为学生进一步交际提供较为广阔的训练空间。Book 3A第三单元已出现了八种水果的复数形式,本册第八单元又出现了几种昆虫的复数形式,教师可以结合本单元children, countries等单词,对名词复数的变化规则和读音进行归类整理。二、教学内容牛津小学英语5B第九单元The English Club A部分课文。三、学情分析学生在三年级第一学期已经能够进行自我介绍,学习过句型“Im from.”,并且在四年级第二学期第八单元学习过China, Chinese, English,本课就是在这些内容的基础上进行扩展延伸。从自我介绍进一步引伸到对自己国籍和所学语言的介绍。本单元课文的教学学生对于visit, visitor, different countries, city, Id like to visit ., France, French比较难理解,另外,different countries, Id like to visit ., 学生比较难读。教师针对学生的这些情况设计相应的教学任务,从而有效地突破了教学中的难点,为学生有效地开展阅读进行了合理的铺垫。四、教学目标A认知目标1能听得懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词French, a city, visit, UK, British, USA, American, Japan, Japanese, France。2能听得懂、会说、会读和会写句型Where are you from? Im/Hes/Shes/Its/Were/Therre from. Do you speak.?及其答语Yes, I do. I speak ., too. No, I dont. I speak.3能听得懂、会说、会读日常交际用语及句型Are you from different countries? Id like to visit it.B技能目标1能介绍自己来自哪里,并说哪种语言。2在生活中学会询问对方的国籍及所说语言。3在模拟实际生活的情境中提高学生综合运用语言的能力。C情感目标1加强中西方文化交流,减少信息差。2能积极参加社会公益活动,通过募捐培养学生的爱心。五、教学重难点1能听得懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词French, a city, visit, UK, British, USA, American, Japan, Japanese, France。2能听得懂、会说、会读和会写句型Where are you from? Do you have any hobbies?3. Me too. And I also like travelling. I want to go around the world.4. Guess! What do I want to go?(课件出示飞机绕地球飞的情形)通过国旗引出想去的国家the UK,出示词卡the UK进行教学5. There are many big cities in the UK. Look and tell me what city it is?(视频播放伦敦街区景象)6. Look at the people, where are they from?(出示两个英国人的图片)7. Are they British?(教学British)8. We meet in London.18. 教师示范:Hi, where are you from?Im from France. Im French. I speak French.19. Practise in pairs, use the flags of different countries.Step3: Learn the text1. Heres a visitor. Is he going to London?(出示Tony White的图片)2. Hes going to the English club. Listen and answer.(播放课文内容)Who is the visitor?Where is he from?Where does he live?(学生边回答,老师边点答案)所有问题答完后,老师说Tony White is from the USA. So he is .Does he speak English?(教学the USA, American, English)3. There are some children at the English club, too. Look, listen and answer.(再次播放课文内容)Who are they?Are they from different countries? 4. (学生看完视频后回答问题)T: Who are the children?Are they from different countries?Where are they from?What nationality are they?What language do they speak?Now, open your books and read after the tape.5. Very good! Now, take out the form, discuss in pairs and tick it with your partener.6. Lets check the answer. For example, I am Wang Bing. Im from China. Im Chinese. I speak Chinese. How about you?7. Now, please open your books, read by yourself, then act the dialogue.8. All of us read narrator, who can act Tony White?9. Take out your exercise paper, read the text carfully, fill in the blanks.10. Do you finish? Lets check the answer.Step4: Consolidation1. Tony White and the children are at the Engliah club. Some people are at superstar club, who is he? Who are they?(Theyre superstars.)2. What are they doing?3. Theyre raising money for people who need.4. Ill give you some envelopes. There are some superstars messages in them. Use them to make dialogues. One act the reporter and the others act the superstars.5. Who wants to come here to act a reporter
