Unit3 Could you please clean your room? The First Period (SectionA 1a-1c)【教材依据】 本节课是人教版八年级下册第三单元的第一课时。一、设计思路 1、指导思想 本单元的主题聚焦在家庭生活上,谈论家庭琐事及家庭互助。家庭生活及家务劳动是社会家庭和学生生活中的重要方面,对学生生活习惯的养成、社会行为习惯及家庭责任感的建立起着重要的作用。本课时1a-1c从听、说技能入手,呈现、学习不同家务的表达法及礼貌、委婉地提出请求的句型表达,是词汇及句型的输入阶段。因此,在教学设计时,我安排了大量的听说训练,让学生围绕各种家务活的图片进行对话练习,通过不同的分组活动使学生掌握本课时的目标并能灵活运用。 2、Teaching Aims(教学目标)(1)Knowledge Aims(知识目标)Vocabulary:rubbish, take out, sweep, floor, fold, do the dishes, make the/ones bed, clean the living room.Structure of sentence:-Could you please .? -OK./Yes, sure./No problem./Sure./Of course.-Sorry, I cant. I have to .(2)Ability aims(能力目标)学会礼貌、委婉地提出请求。能针对别人的请求给出恰当的答语。培养学生语言综合运用能力,注重听说技能的提高。(3)Emotion aims(情感态度与价值观)培养学生的劳动意识及家庭责任感,使学生养成良好的生活习惯,帮助学生学会关心他人,感恩父母。3、教学重点与难点(1)教学重点学习与家务琐事相关的词汇短语;学习礼貌地提出请求;训练在听力过程中抓住关键词的技能。(2)教学难点学会准确使Could礼貌地提出请求;学会准确应答别人的请求。二、教学准备1、收集学生做家务的照片。2、制作有关学生做家务的调查表。3、制作PPT,准备录音机。三、教学过程Step1. Lead-inShow four pictures on the screen. There are four kids doing different chores in the four pictures. Ask, “What are they doing?” The students may answer, “They are doing housework.” The taecher says, “We also can say they are doing chores.” Teach the new word “chore”. T asks, “Are they old or young?” Ss answer, “Young.” T says, “Although they are very young, they often help do chores around the house. Do you do chores at home? What chores do you do? If you want somebody to help you to do some chores, how do you make polite requests? This class we will learn Unit3.” Write the title on the Bb and show the language goal to the class. 设计意图:引入本节课话题chores.Step2. Teach the six chores in 1a.1. Show a picture of a student that she is doing the dishes. Ask Ss to guess what chore she is doing. Ss may say it in Chinese, then T says it in English and asks Ss to repeat it several times. T asks a student, “Do you do the dishes at home?” If the student answers, “Yes.” T can go on asking, “How often do you do the dishes?” 2. Teach the other five chores in the same way.3. After teaching all the chores, give Ss three minutes to recite the six chores. 4. Have a small test. T says each chore in English and Ss say them in Chinese. Then have a change.设计意图:运用学生做家务的图片,直观形象地教学6个家务琐事的表达,并对学生的掌握情况进行当堂检测,为后面的句型练习做好铺垫。Step3. Do a survey: Do you do chores at home? How often do you do chores? 1. Show the survey chart to the class. YouYour partnerdo the dishessweep the floortake out the rubbishmake the bedfold the clothesclean the living room 2. First ask Ss to fill in the second colunm with the frequency adverbs. Then Ss work in pairs and interview the partner and fill in the third colunm. 3. Ask some Ss to report their results like this: I sometimes do the dishes. My partner Wang Min often does the dishes. 4. According to the Ss reports, give them some right comments. For example, Its good for children to do chores at home. You are a member of your family. Your parents may be busy and tired, so you should help out with the chores around your house. Do your own things by yourselves.设计意图:调查学生做家务的情况,培养学生的劳动意识,复习旧知。Step4. Teach the new language “Could you please do .?”1. T says, “If your room is very dirty and you need someones help. How do you ask others for help politely?” Write the sentense pattern on the Bb and help Ss to give the positive answers and negative answers. Then Ss repeat them several times.2. Show a picture of dirty dishes. Have a conversation with a student as a model like this:T: Could you please do the dishes?S1: Yes,sure.S2: No problem.S3: Sorry, I cant. I have to see the doctor.3. Show pictures about different chores on the screen. Ss work in pairs to ask their partner to do the chores.4. Ask some pairs to present their conversations to the class.设计意图:利用图片情景教学,形象、生动,便于学生掌握礼貌提出请求的表达。Step5. Activity 1b.1. Ss look at the picture on page 17 carefully and answer the following questions:(1) Who are they?(2) Where are they?(3) What does Peters mother say?(4) How does Peter answer?2. Ss read the coversation between Peter and his mother together. Ask, “Who will take out the rubbish, Peter or his mom?” Ss answer, “Peter.”3. There are other chores in Peters house. Who will do these chores? Check Peters mother or Peter.4. Ss read the chores in the chart quickly. Then play the recording twice. The first time, Ss only listen. The second time, ask Ss to check Peters mother or Peter.5. Check the answers by asking Ss to say the full sentences.设计意图:训练听力技能,学习表达各种家务琐事。Step6. Activity 1c.1. Ask two Ss to read the conversation in 1c to the class.2. Lets clean the room! Show a picture of a room in a mess. Ss work in groups of four and make polite requests to ask other Ss to clean the room. They may make conversations like this:A: Could you please fold the clothes?B: Sure. (to C) Could you please .?C: .D: .3. Ask some groups to present their conversations to the class.设计意图:运用所学所听内容,让学生在班级真实的语言环境下操练句型,体会句型,巩固所学知识,增强教学的实效性。Step7. Summary.We have learnt some shores and how to make polite requests. Children should share the housework.Step8. Homework. Make a conversation between your mother and you using “Could you please .?” 四、教学反思可取之处:1、课堂活动以学生为主,面向全体学生,强调学生的参与与实践,让学生来做学习的主人。以学生为中心,将听、说训练贯穿于课堂教学之中,通过小组活动、讨论等方式使学生在互动中巩固知识,强化了语言实践的过程,提高了学生的听说表达能力。2、课堂教学由
