Unit 7 Its raining. Section A (1a-1c)一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:1) 能掌握以下单词: rain, windy, cloudy, sunny, snow, weather, cook, ,rainy,snowy能掌握以下句型: Hows the weather in Beijing? Its sunny -Whats the weather in Shanghai? -Its raining. 2) 能用所学的知识描述天气情况。 2. 情感态度价值观目标: 教育学生善于观察天气,善于调整自己的情绪;了解世界各地的天气情 况,增加世界观念。知道大自然的力量是神奇而伟大的,我们应当好好学习,立志学好科学知识,为长大后探索神奇的大自然,打好基础。 二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) The vocabulary and useful expressions. 2) Hows the weather? Its raining/ windy. 2. 教学难点:运用目标语言来对天气进行问答。三、教学过程. Warming-up and Lead in 1. Greet the Ss . T:How are you? S1:Im fine. T:How are you? S2:Im fine,and you? T:Im fine,too.ButIts not fine.(Explain:“It” refores to the weather ,“fine” means sunny. Write “fine”on the blackboard.)2. Show a picture on the screen.Its raining. T:Do you like rainy days? Ss:No. T:I like sunny days.Sunny days make me happy,make me want to sing. 3. Watch a video program about the weather.Sing a song together.Sunny day. (设计意图:本环节我先与学生进行对话热身,引出天气话题,接着又播放歌曲视频目的是激发学生的学习兴趣,). Presentation 1. (Show some pictures of the weather) Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures. 2. Show some pictures about the new words,let students look at the picture and say the weather out.3. Then students read these new words alone.4. (Show some pictures of the weather)T:Hows the weather?= Whats the weather like?Then have some diologs.-Hows the weather?-Its sunny.(设计意图:在这一环节中,我才用了一些图片进行新单词的教学,目的是采用图片的直观效应让学生更容易理解记忆。). Game (Hows the weather?)1. (Showing some pictures on the big screen.) Ask Ss Hows the weather?2. Ss guess and answer the question. -Is it sunny?-No,it isnt.-Is it .?-Yes,it is.(设计意图:在这一环节中,我设计了一个猜测图片中的天气的游戏,目的是在游戏的过程中轻松记忆句型,既练习了重点语句又活跃了课堂气氛。).Practice. 1.Show a map,Students look at the map and ask and answer :-Hows weather in .?-Its . 2.Read the weather report.Good morning,ladies and gentlemen!Here is the weather report!Today is Wednesday.Beijing is cloudy.Guizhou is cloudy,too.New York is rainy.And it is cold.Thanks for listening.Hope you have a happy day.3.Show five pictures about these five cities:Beijing,Shanghai,Moscow,Toronto and Boston.Look at the names of the cities. Please read after me. 4. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures. 5. Check the answers. . Listening 1. Now lets look at the city names in the box in 1b.Show five pictures about these five cities:Beijing,Shanghai,Moscow,Toronto and Boston.Look at the names of the cities. Please read after me. Ss read the cities after the teacher. 2. Now, Well hear four conversations. Listen carefully, point out each city in the picture as it comes upon the tape. Play the recording a second time. Ask Ss to write the name of the city in the picture of its weather. 3. Check the answers. . Pair work 1. Tell the Ss: If you are in one of the places in the picture above. Talk about the weather with your friends in another city on the phone. 2. Make a model with a student like this:T: Hi! Hows the weather in Beijing?S1: Its sunny. 3. Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer about the weather in the cities. VI.Writing.Write a report about these cities.Language points.1. 1. Its raining.1)it可以用来指代天气,在句中可不译为中文。要根据上下文理解。如: It is windy.(天气)在刮风。 Its cold today.今天很冷。2.Hows the weather?天气怎么样?1)后可接时间、地点。如:Hows the weather today?今天天气怎么样?Hows the weather in Sichuan?四川天气怎么样?2)回答用“Its+天气”,如:-Hows the weather today?-Its cloudy. 3)同义句为:Whats the weather like?如:Hows the weather in Beijing?=Whats the weather like in Beijing? 3. rain 做动词,意为“下雨”。 Its raining in Tianjin now.现在天津在下雨。 【拓展】rain 做名词,意为“_”。 There is a lot of rain in summer in our city. 我们这里夏天雨量很大。 4. windy 多风的; cloudy 多云的; sunny 晴朗的 构词法:名词 + y 形容词 今天宁夏风很大。 Its _windy_ in Ningxia today. 5. weather 是不可数名词, 意为“天气; 气候”。 其前面不能用不定冠词 a 修饰,但可以用定冠词 the 或 bad/fine 等修饰;通常可以用 it 来指代。 春天在中国北部是多风的。 The weather is windy in spring in the north of China. Exercises:用所给单词的适当形式填空。 1. Its a _ day today (sun). 2. The weather is bad now. Its _ (wind).3. Sounds like you _ (have) a good time now. 4. Its _ (cloud) now. Is it going to rain? 5.
