From this lesson, it starts asking the Ss to grasp contents of each Sample. To attain “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing. First, learn the proper use of frequency adverbs and phrases, and then learn to describe the events after school hours and the basic diets. Through the reviewing of the verb phrase learned in the seventh grade, the listening exercises in this unit , and the various forms of oral communication activities and writing exercises ,make the students actively participate in co-operation, and then cultivate students comprehensive ability to use language. In the opening of this unit, this class arrange a time for talking about after-school activities, that make students have the initial understanding the use of frequency adverbs, moreover, make students further use the frequency adverbs and verb phrases on the linguistic knowledge in preparation.Part two The teaching goalsTheteaching aim is established according to Junior SchoolEnglish syllabusA .Knowledge objects:properuse ofalways、usually、often、sometimes、hardly ever、never、daily activities such as frequency adverbs and phrases: watch TV、go shopping、read books、exercise and so onMasterthe sentence:Whatdoes she do on weekends?Sheoften / usually / always/ hardly ever /never goes to the moviesHowoften do you exercise?Once a week/Twice/Three timesB: Ability objects.study describes the spare time of activities, initially to develop students proficiency of the language.To develop the Ss abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. To train the Ss ability of working in pairsC Moral objectsCultivate the students ability of logical expression, stimulate the students positive thinking, and make the students understand each other, enhance the friendship and strengthen the interpersonal communication, so as to form a good interpersonal relationship. Teaching key and difficult points. Key points: how often questions and answers. Difficult points:Thirdperson singular verb in the sentence in the use of this coreuseof frequency adverbs and verb phrases on the linguistic knowledge to do the preparationPart three About the studentsThestudents are curious, active and eager to learn and they are sensitive to the things that are related to their daily lives. So the teaching methods should make the students feel related and arouse the Ss interestsPart four Teaching and Learning methods. Communicative teaching method. Audio-visual teaching method. Task-based teaching methodPart five Design ideaTeaching strategyAccording to the characteristics of this lesson, I made it in six steps.First step: the Ss follow the teachers order to adjust mental state and review some verbs to prepare the new lesson.Second step: through the review of the old sentence “What do you usually do on weekends ?” , leading to the frequency adverb “usually” and some verb phrases we have learned to reduce the difficulty of the new lesson.Third step: by completing the textbook Activity 1a and Task 1 to strengthen speaking and writing abilities. Fourth step: This is an important part in the lesson. The frequency adverbs were used by rule and line because of grasping the sentence expertly. And then through the interesting activity - Task Two: Making cards to deepen understanding.Fifth step: this is the extension in my teaching. In the process of completing Activity 1b and Task 3, the difficulty of learning the present tense is shown to the Ss in a comparative way, to make the Ss understand the language in communication.Sixth step: I made the conversation to strengthen listening and speaking abilities. The second subject is a opening production to train the Ss comprehensive language ability and let them learn how to cooperate and communicate.There is an adjustment in the whole teaching process, the teaching emphasis(1c) is throughout the lesson. Because the Vs form of the present tense does not involve in the textbook, and that is the most careless problem during the learning of the Ss, I made a supplement in this lesson.Part sixprocedureStep one Warm-up activities- Mobilize the enthusiasm of the students(1) Do it (students doing the actions according to the teachers instruction)T:Read books. / Do homework!/ Draw pictures/ Look at the blackboardT: run / stop / stand up / sit down.(2) Do as I do.(students doing the actions with the teacher while talking)I read books on weekends.I run on weekends.I do my homework on weekends.Step two Revision and presentation(1)teacher ask:“What do you usually do on weekends ? ” (blackboard writing) student answer according to their actual: I usually on weekends.(2) teacher presents the verb cards: watch TV、read books 、exercise、clean、skateboard、 play basketball、wash clothes、go shopping、go to movies (let students reading).(3)Game:“ Whats missing?” ( firstly let students read all verb cards, teacher remove once of the cards, then let the students look at the cards and read verb phrases, finally let the students find which card is missing。)Step three Pattern drill and dialogue(1)Show the vocabulary cards to the students and ask:“What do you usually do on weekends?” and guide students answer: I usually on weekends.(2)Task one “Find my group members.”Complete the form within the stipulated time, and then ask the students around them, find out the students which have the same extracurricular activities with them, and let him or her sign their names in the back of each activity。ActivityName(3)Look at the picture on the book ,name each activity .Then ask students to point to each picture , ask and answer in pairs . “What s the boy/girl doing ? ” “He/She is reading .”Check the answers on the blackboard and ask students to correct their own activities.(1a )Step fourPresentation and drill(1)teacher point the screen and say:“ Now lets see my activities on weekends. (pictures for the various activities and introduction shown on the screen ) Ialwaysread books at 6:00 in the morning. Then Iusuallyrun at 6:30. Ioftenclean my house in the afternoon.SometimesI watch TV, but Ineverwatch TV too much. Ihardly evergo to the movies.(2)the frequency adverb and the relevant percentagealways(100%)usually(80%)often (30-50%)sometimes(20%)hardly ever(5%)never(0%)Read frequency adverbs and let the students read fastly.(3)click on the pictures, afrequency adverb appears on the front of each picture.teacher ask: What do you do on weekends?Guide students touse the pictures in the activities and adverbs answer For example:I usually run.(4)TaskTwo: Making cardsEach student make their own extracurricular activities into cards, and then make the frequency adverbs into cards. One student ask: What do you do on weekends? Another students takes one extracurricular activity card and one frequency adverb to answer.Step fivePractice anddrill(1)Play the recording the first time .Students only listen . Play the recording a second time . Point to the pictures . This time say , Listen to the conversation and write the letter of one activity (a through e )after the word in the list .(1b)(2) a picture of a girl in reading shown on the screen, teacher ask:What does she do on weekends?Click on the picture, appear the adverb “often”. Guide the students answer: “She often reads books.”(3) click on the screen:A:What
