Unit 4 Why dont you talk to your parents?Section A 2 (3a-3c)学情分析八(下)Unit4 Section A 3a是新目标八下第四单元Reading,本课的主题贴近学生生活实际,高度关注青少年的心里健康和情感教育,不仅复现和巩固了关于烦恼和建议的句型和相关词汇,还输入了更加丰富的词汇和语言表达。通过学习该课文,学生不仅需要掌握语言知识,还要理解课文内涵,反思生活中常见的家庭矛盾以及家长、同学、朋友之间的沟通问题,并学会正确地对待这些问题。主要是通过看图导入阅读;在读、听的过程中学习词汇;通过带问题阅读课文,理解大意,在理解的基础上,掌握词汇并提炼出语法现象,总结出语法结构,从而在真实的语言环境中自然地运用所学新知,进行真实交际。教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:1) 学习掌握下列词汇:get on with; relation, communication, argue, cloud, elder, instead, whatever, nervous, offer, proper, secondly, communication, explain, clear 2)阅读短文,能按要求找到相应的信息。3)通过阅读提高学生们的阅读能力。4) 了解在如果生活中发生了一些不尽如人意的问题,应当如何面对理性地去解决。2. 情感态度价值观目标:人的一生并不都是一帆风顺的,难免有一些挫折的困难,如果生活中发生了一些不尽如人意的问题,我们学会冷静对待,学会合理的办法去理性地去解决。 教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 掌握本部分出现的生词和词组,达到熟练运用的目标。2) 阅读短文,获得相关的信息。通过阅读练习,来提高阅读能力。2. 教学难点:1) 阅读短文,获得相关的信息的能力。2) 理解并运用所学的词汇及表达方式。教学过程Step 1 Revision Some Ss give some problems. Other Ss give advice. Problems and advice:1. I have to study too much so I dont get enough sleep. Why dont you go to sleep earlier this evening?2. I have too much homework so I dont have any free time to do things I like. Why dont you go camping with your friends this weekend?3. My parents dont allow me to hang out with my friends. X|Why not read some interesting books at home? 4. I have too many after-school classes.Why dont you talk about it with your parents?5. I got into a fight with my best friend. Why not call him up?Role-play the conversation of 2d. Step 2 Presentation the new words1. relation n. 关系;联系;交往e.g. Their relation seemed quite close. 他们的关系看起来很亲密。2. argue v. 争吵;争论e.g. The couple began to argue about the childs education.那对夫妇开始就孩子的教育问题争吵。3. proper adj. 正确的;恰当的e.g. Its not proper to visit a friend too late in the evening. 太晚了,去看朋友不合适。4. nervous adj. 焦虑的;担忧的e.g. Dont be nervous. It is just a small test. 不要紧张。就是个小测试而已。5. clear adj. 清楚易懂的;晴朗的e.g. The sun shone out of a clear sky. 天空晴朗,阳光灿烂。Step 3 Lead in 一、通过问答一些有关家庭生活的问题来导入正题:1. Can you get on well with your family?2. Are the relations between your parents good?3. Do you have any brothers or sisters? Can you get on well with him/her?4. Who do you ask for help when you have problems? Step 4 ReadingWork on 3a1.T:Now open our books. Look at our books. The following are two letters, you need to have a fast reading of them and get the main idea. Ss: Yes.T:Ok,lets begin.2.Give students several minutes to read the two letters. (运用获取主旨大意的阅读策略,培养学生良好的阅读习惯。)3.Listentothetapeandreadmorecarefully. (边听边读,加强理解,并检查理解情况.)4.Later, let students discuss in pairs and then complete the chart in 3a. 5.Check the answers.教师应鼓励学生发表自己的观点和看法,并提示他们使用相关句型进行表达。(运用阅读材料,在理解的基础上,先口头后书面表达自己的观点,)Work on 3b: After they finish reading the letters, invite a student to retell Sad and Thirteens problems and the advice from Mr. Hunt.Students to read the instruction to know what to do in this activity and how to do it.Then, divite students into groups to talk about if they agree with Mr. Hunts advice or disagree and why.As they work,move around the room checking the progress and offering help as needed.Finally,invite some representatives to express their opinions. Work on 3c T:After the study of two reading materials,weve learned how to talk about our problems and how to give advice to others,and weve also learned some keys words.Now lets have a look at the instruction of 3c.Lead students to look at the instruction and the sample sentence.Have them know how to do this task.Give them several minutes to find the words or phrases have the same or similar meanings as the words and phrases in the box and write a sentence using each word or phrase.Later,invite some students to present their work.Point out mistakes and correct them if any.(对于英语能力强的学生,直接要求笔头完成,对于英语能力较弱的学生,提供课文中相关单词,让学生匹配,再让他们从课文中找出含有这些单词的句子并翻译成汉语。)Step 5 Language points1. If your parents are having problems, you should offer to help.offer v. 主动提出;自愿给予offer侧重主动或愿意给予,主动提出做某事。常用结构:offer sb. sth. 或offer to do sth.e.g. She offered me a cup of tea. 她给我端了杯茶。 He offered to go instead of me. 他主动提出代替我去。4. Secondly, why dont you sit down and communicate with your brother?communicate v. 交流;沟通communicate with sb. 与某人交流e.g. Li Mei can easily communicate with foreigners in English. 李梅能用英语与外国人轻松交流。5.
