Let them introduce themselves.They may begin like this Hello,everyone.My name is Im years old . My birthday is I like通过这一环节的交流，可起到以下作用：1、创设英语学习的氛围2，便于学生互相熟悉，为接下来的合作学习打下基础3，用简单的英语进行交际，增强自信心 At last make a coversation like Where do you do ? At home.通过这一对话，既起到复习作用，又为新课作了铺垫。Step 2 Learn the new words1.Learn to read Show some pictures and ask the students to guess the Chinese meanings and then learn to the new words again and again.2.Practice readingTake out their own cards , practice reading the words and then work in pairs to have a check. . 3.Practice spelling Ask the students to learn the new words by heart using the cards , Before doing this , give a simple explanation to help them .eg : toy-boy ; shopping-shop-stop ; mall-all ; read-red ; bird-birth Walk around the class and check their progress .When most of them learn the words well,ask the students to work in pairs to have a check.这一环节主要采用小卡片来学习单词，要求学生在制作卡片的时候，尽可能地用图画表示出汉语意思，这就给学生提供了一个想象的空间，一个展示自己的舞台.通过这种自制的卡片，可以使记单词变得生动有趣，提高了学习效率;学生在相互合作的过程中，体验到学习的快乐，增强了竞争意识。Step 3 Practice and progressIn this step Ill provide the students some chances to practice the words .1.Read and spell the words Ask the students to read and spell the words one by one by showing my cards .If one can not answer it , just say Sorry . and sit down .
