Greetings, divide the whole class into boys group and girls group. At the end of this class, the group which gets more stars will be the winner.2. Ask one student the following questions:T: Can you speak English?S: Yes, I can.T: What are we doing now?S: We are speaking English / having English class.3. Show some pictures and get students answer the teachers questions.(1) Can they speak English? What are they doing?(2) Can he play basketball? Whats he doing?(3) Can she dance? Whats she doing?Step 2 Presentation1. As students read the title of this unit, write it on the blackboard, then lead them to make sentences with different personal pronoun.He / She is + v.ing. We / They are + v.ing. 2. Teaching the new words and sentence structures.Play the PPT for students and teach the new words and phrases in section A, then introduce the sentence patterns of present progressive tense and how to change the verb from original form to present participle.3. Present some photos of the students in our class. Ask the student herself/himself “What are you doing?” (S: Im + v.ing)Step 3 GamePlay a game together to motivate students positivity to learn.
