To grasp the key words, phrases and the sentence structures in this section.2. To improve the students communicative ability.过程与方法目标:1. Talk about the activities in the daily life by using the present progressive tense.2. Integrate the teaching material adequately, get students to observe the pictures and try their best to say the phrases.3. Make students to do pair work to consolidate what they have learned. 情感态度价值观目标:By describing actions those are on-going, guide students to regulate their words and deeds, learn to arrange their daily schedule and cooperate with others.教学重点:1. The usage of some phrases and the present progressive tense.2. To master the structure and the sentence pattern of present progressive tense.教学难点:How to use different forms of present progressive tense to describe actions those are in the process of happening.教学过程教学活动设计意图Step 1 Greetings and lead in1. Greetings, divide the whole class into boys group and girls group. At the end of this class, the group which gets more stars will be the winner.2. Ask one student the following questions:T: Can you speak English?S: Yes, I can.T: What are we doing now?S: We are speaking English / having English class.3. Show some pictures and get students answer the teachers questions.(1) Can they speak English? What are they doing?(2) Can he play basketball? Whats he doing?(3) Can she dance? Whats she doing?Step 2 Presentation1. As students read the title of this unit, write it on the blackboard, then lead them to make sentences with different personal pronoun.He / She is + v.ing. We / They are + v.ing. 2. Teaching the new words and sentence structures.Play the PPT for students and teach the new words and phrases in section A, then introduce the sentence patterns of present progressive tense and how to change the verb from original form to present participle.3. Present some photos of the students in our class. Ask the student herself/himself “What are you doing?” (S: Im + v.ing)Step 3 GamePlay a game together to motivate students positivity to learn. (Rules: Show the photos quickly, then ask students “What is he / she doing?” students should raise their hands as fast as possible and answer the question, if the answer is right, he / she can get one score.)Step 4 PracticeLet students practice the conversation by acting as the superman and a student.Student: Hi, Superman! What is Bob doing?Superman: He is talking on the phone.Step 5 Listening1. Listen to the recording and check what these people are doing.2. Get some pairs of students to imitate the conversation in the recording.(During the whole lesson, direct students to finish the students paper.) Step 6 HomeworkAssign homework to students.1. Make sentences with all the phrases we have learned today, using the present progressive tense. 2. Practice the following conversation with your classmates. (1) - What are you / they doing? - Im / They are + v.ing. (2) - What is he / she doing? - He / She is + v.ing.Greet the students, tellthem the rules of competitions in this lesson, so that they would participate the class actively.Use the general question (with “can”)to guide students say the correct sentences.Bring out the theme of this unit, get students to clear about the language points.With the help of vivid pictures, students can remember these phrases effectively.The match between boys and girls can arouse studentsinterest, it is a practical way to review the words they have learnt before.Get students to understand the structure and usage of present progressive tense in the communicative setting.Listen to the authentic pronunciation can help students to adju
