topic 1:people attend college or university for many different reasons(for example ,new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). why do think people attend college or university? use special reasons and examples to support your answer. 1 students have ample opportunity to explore a variety of interests, increase both their general and specific knowledge, prepare for a chosen career and develop independence. 2 all of these are valuable goals to achieve, but it is my belief that most students today pursue higher education in groups to prepare for their future careers. 3 the world has changed a great deal since universities were established. topic 2:do you agree or disagree with the following statement? parents are the best teachers. use special reasons and examples to support your answer. 1 first ,our parents begin teaching us the moment we are born, and what they teach us in those early years are the most important we can learn. 2 in addition, they teach us how to be independent and how to learn. 3 finally, our parents are devoted teachers who always want the best for us. topic 3: food has become easier to prepare. has this change improved the way people live ? explain your position. 1 an obvious advantage is an increase in the number of available jobs, and many people in the community might find employment in the new factory. 2 it would have to pay some taxes to the local government, and workers might go shopping or eat at a restaurant in the area before or after their shifts. 3 depending on what kind of factory it is, it might pollute the environment and bring down property values. topic 6: if you could change one important thing about your hometown, what would you change ? use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. 1Although the food we prepare may not be as elegant as that which can be found in a fine restaurant, i like the taste of my mothers cooking because it tastes like home. 2 we also talk more around the dinner table when we eat together at home because the atmosphere is quieter more personal. 3 lastly ,when we are finished we do not have to worry about who will pay the bill. topic 14: some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes .others believe that going to classes should be optional for students. which point of view do you agree with? why? 1 entertainment can bring some disadvantages to a community such as increased traffic and noise, but i believe the advantages of a new movie theater would outweigh these concerns. 2 for one thing, the people in my neighborhood would save time. 3 in addition, it would be safer for children to visit a nearby movie theater rather than one in some other part of the city. 4 and finally, a new theater might attract other businesses, such as restaurants and coffee shop. topic 28: do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
