Train students to learn how to care for others and help the people in need.II. Teaching Importance: Help students to master the important phrases and sentences.III. Teaching Difficulties: 1. How to talk about health problems. 2. The usage of the modal verbs: should.IV. Teaching Procedures:Step 1 Lead-in 1. Introduce a cartoon characterMr. Ding to the students. Draw Mr. Ding on the blackboard, singing the song of Mr. Ding. Introduce Mr. Dings body. Teach the new words: neck, throat, stomach. (目的:通过介绍卡通人物丁老头,复习关于身体部位的单词,并导入三个新单词。)2. Show a picture on the screen. Lead the students to review the words of body together.(目的:白板展示人物图片,进一步复习身体各部位的单词。)3. Game: Ask four students to touch different parts of their body.(目的:通过游戏让学生进一步巩固所学单词。) Step 2 Presentation1. Teacher says: “Just now we did a little sport, do you feel warm now? I think it is very important for us to do sports. Because doing sports can make us strong and healthy. If we dont do sports, we may be sick. That means we may have some health problems.”(目的:点评学生活动,引出本节课教学目标。)2. Show the language goals of todays class on the screen, and say: “In todays class we are going to talk about health problems and how to give advice. ” Ask a question to a student: “If you have a health problem, where should you go?”(目的:介绍本节课教学目标,并通过医院图片,导入下面的知识点。)3. Show a picture of a hospital and say: “In the hospital, there are many patients; they all have different kinds of health problems. Lets see what problems they have.” Show some pictures of patients on the screen. Teach the phrases of health problem to students.(目的:通过展示各个病人图片,让学生初步掌握疾病的词汇和短语。)Step 3 Practice 1. Guessing Game. Ask some students to act the problems out. The rest of the students guess what problems they have.(目的:通过表演猜疾病的游戏,让学生进一步掌握有关疾病的短语,并且调动学生积极性。) 2. Pair Work. Ask students to make conversations to talk about health problems.(目的:两人一组谈论身体健康状况,巩固学生对所学句型的掌握。)A: Whats the matter with you?B: I have a . . Step 4 Listening 1. Teacher says: “There are five students in our books. They also have some health problems. Lets find out what happened to them.” First, listen and number the names(目的:对谈论健康状况的对话有初步认识). 2. Listen again and write down each problem they have.(目的:进一步理解谈论健康状况的听力材料。) 3. Suppose the teacher is the doctor, ask several students to be the patients. Then ask students to pay attention to the advice that the doctor just said. Teach students how to give advice while practicing the conversation.(目的:以书上人物为例,教会学生如何针对他人的问题给予建议。)Step 5 Production Group work. Ask students to work in 4. One acts as the doctor, and the other three act as the patients. Make conversations between the doctor and the patients. Then see who is the best doctor, and who is the best patient. (目的:以小组活动的形式,让学生角色扮演,使学生能够熟练讨论健康状况,以及如何给出建议。) Step 6 SummarySummarize the key points in todays class. Comment on the students performance. Remind students to wear more clothes and do more sports so that they wont have any health problems. And also encourage students to care for others.(目的:总结评价学生表现,引出情感目标。)V.
