Period 1 Section A (1a-2d)Teaching aims (教学目标)学习一些表示活动的新短语。复习周六周日及早中晚的表达法。复习句型What did you do?继续通过谈论过去的事来复习一般过去时态。Language points (语言点)1. 词汇:1)名词n. lake, beach, badminton, sheep 2)形容词adj. tired3)动词 v. camp, stay2. 句型:What did you do?Did you ?How was your weekend?It was great.Difficulties (教学难点)一般过去时态的使用Step 1. Warming-up and revision 1. Point to the previous Saturday and Sunday and say, Saturday and Sunday are the weekend. 2. Then tell some things you did last weekend such as,/ cleaned my house over the weekend.What does she often do on weekend?She often does some reading.What do you usually do on weekend?I usually go shopping.What did you do last weekend?I had a party with my friends.What did she do last Saturday afternoon?She danced last Saturday afternoon.Step 2 Work on 1a This activity introduces the key vocabulary.1. Ask students to match each activity with one of the pictures. 2. Check the answers.Step 3 Work on 1b Listening1. Play the recording the first time. Students only listen.2. Play the recording a second time. This time say. Listen to the recording and write the days and times Lucy did each thing under the pictures. 3.Correct the answers.Step 4 Work on 1c Pair workStudents work in pairs. As they talk, move around the room monitoring their work. Offer language or pronunciation support as needed,Step 5 Work on 2a and 2b: Listening(1)T: Please turn to page 68. Look at the sentences in 2a. Read them aloud.(2)T: Now listen carefully and underline the words you hear. (3)T: Can you get the answers? Check Ss answers. (4) T: Please look at 2b. Listen again and write C for Carol, J for Jack or B for Becky next to the statements in 2a. Step 6 Work on 2c Pair work Ask and answer in pairs.Point to the example conversation. Ask two students to read the dialogue to the class. Say, Now work with a partner. Student A, ask questions about what, who or where , Student B answers. Students work in pairs.Step 7 Work on 2d Role-play the conversation.1). Ask the students to listen and read the conversation.2). Ask Ss to look at conversation in 2d. Then Ss read the dialogue by themselves and find the answer to these questions:3). Ss work in pairs and role-play the conversations. 4). Explain some language points:.1. sheep 名词,意为“绵羊”。它是单复数同形的单词,当它作主语时谓语动词的单复数形式要根据它在句中的意思来确定。类似的单词还有deer (鹿), Chinese (中国人)等。例如: Where are your sheep, Ted? Every sheep has a thick woolly coat. 每只羊身上都穿着一件厚的羊毛外套。2. I worked as a guide at the Natural History Museum. 我在自然历史博物馆里做导游的工作。 “work as + 职业” 意为“做某工作”。 埃里克在那家俱乐部里做音乐老师的工作。 Eric works as a music teacher in the club. 3. How interesting! 多么有趣啊! 这是一个感叹句,句子结构为: How + 形容词或副词 + (主语 + 谓语)! 那本书太有趣了! How interesting the book is! 4. stay up 意为“熬夜;深夜不眠” 。 不要熬夜,这对你的健康不好。Dont stay up late. Its bad for your health. 咱们别睡觉,迎接新年的到来吧。Lets stay up to see the New Year.5. They have a butterfly house with over 200 kinds of butterflies! 它们(指博物馆)有一个有200多种蝴蝶的蝴蝶馆! butterfly house 表示“蝴蝶馆”。 英语中house 的含义与所处的语境密切相关。 a big house 表示“一座大房子”。但是,my house 不仅表示“我的房子”,还可表示“我的家”。例如:I hope you all can come over to my house this Sunday for coffee. 我希望这个礼拜天你们全都能够来我家喝咖啡。6., but Im
