Unit 3 At the Zoo Part B Lets learn 授课教师:经开区实验小学 李 杰 班级:三(3)班 Teaching Material Analysis:1. Status of Teaching Material Unit 3 is the third unit of this book. In last classes, the students have learned how to describe the animals . They dont know how to express the concreted profiles. If the students learn it well, not only will it be a good foundation to them when they meet the rest part of this Unit, but also will increase enthusiasm of learning and confidence. 2. Teaching Objective(Knowledge Objective) Make the students master the pronunciation of new words. Make they can use the sentences very well. (Ability Objective) Develop the students ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Train the students ability of English communication. Make they can talk about the animals profiles in right way. (Moral Objective) Stimulating students desire of learning. Training their good competition.3. Teaching Key Point and Difficult Points:(Key Points)Master the words: small, big, short, long, head, tail, leg, bodyMaster the sentences: It has a (small / big / short / long) (Difficult Points)Students use the sentences flexible and make dialogues.4. Teaching Aids Pictures、cartoon and PPT about this lesson.5. Teaching and Learning Methods:Create the English situation 、role play、group/ pair work、play games6. Teaching process:Step one Warming up (2mins)a. Greeting Ill say: Hello, everyone. Its time for class. Are you ready? b. lets listen and do.Step two New words (15mins)a. lead in T: “ look at the apples, there are two apples at here. The first one is big. How about another one?b. learning new words. T: “Ill show some pictures about animals which can be saw easily at the zoo. And Ill ask the students “whats this?” “Its small ”. Ill say: Yes,its small.” Ss: read up to the teacher.c. use this methods to teach other new words( big / short / long)Step three play games and practice (8mins)a. More or less times. High and low . (group work )b. Drive the train / Do and act / Bomb game.Step four New sentences (20mins)a. T: After the game. Learn the phrase.(big body/ small head/ long leg/ short tail.Ss: read and do : big body,big,big,big.Lead in the new sentence:It has a(big body/ small head/ long leg/ short tail)b. Look at the picture and describe the different animals profiles.c. practice (1) T and Ss make a dialogue. (2) group work. (3) show time Wanted招聘: Can you describe animals in English?
