Teaching aids: PPT教学过程教师行为学生行为设计意图Warming-upA game: Showing some pictures about animals on PPT.Saying out the names of the animals they see as quickly as they can.Use this game to arouse the students interest.Pre-readingWatch a video about dinosaurs. Ask some questions: What can you see in the video? What can they do? What can they eat?Watch a video about dinosaurs and answer the questions:Watching the video and answering the questions can give the students some background of the material they will learn today and stimulate their learning motivation.While-reading1、First-readingAsk the students to listen to the tape of Dinosaur D twice, try to find the answers of the questions below and write them down simply. Check the answers. Who is mentioned? What does it look like? How are its teeth? How does it move? How does it walk?2、Second-reading Ask the students to talk about Dinosaur D according to their answers. Eg: Look at Dinosaur D. Its very long. It eats plants. It has small teeth. It walks slowly. It does not fly or swim.Ask the students to read after the tape about Dinosaur D.3、Third-reading Divide the students into two parts. Different part read and talk about different material. Ask the students in each part try to ask questions and answer questions according to the material in pairs.4、Fourth-reading-A competitionTeacher just to help them draw the points each part get. Sometimes she can help them to check the answer.5、Fifth-readingAsk the students to read the whole materials after the tape, then help them to summarize what the material talking about.1、First-readingListen to the tape of Dinosaur D twice. Read after the tape about Dinosaur D.3、Third-reading Part A read the materials about Dinosaur T by themselves and talk about it in pairs. Part B read the materials about Dinosaur B by themselves and talk about it by themselves in pairs. Students in each part try to ask questions and answer questions according to the material in pairs.4、Fourth-reading-A competition Students in Part A read the materials for Part B, Then ask students in Part B questions. Each question can let Part A get one point. Each correct answer can let Part B get one point. Students in Part B read the materials for Part A, Then ask students in Part A questions. Each question can let Part B get one point. Each correct answer can let Part A get one point.5、Fifth-readingStudents read the whole materials after the tape. Then summarize what the material talking about.Teach the students to use the reading strategic skill to read and get information. This follows the teaching reading principle that tasks should be clearly given in advance. Students should be motivated.Post-reading1、Teacher shows students four dinosaurs on Page 47. Then ask the students to choose one of them and draw its outline. Next each student finds the material about it on Page 47 and make up a name for his dinosaur. At last they write something about their dinosaurs on Page 46.4、Teacher shows students a picture of a dog and help them to describe it. Next teacher show some more pictures about animals and ask the students choose one to describe.5、The more we know about animals, the more we can help them.1、First students choose one of the dinosaurs and draw its outline. Next each student finds the material about it on Page 47 and make up a name for his dinosaur. At last they write something about their dinosaurs on Page 46.2、Each student display his dinosaur in group and tell the group about it3、Each group choose the best teller to come to the front to tell the class his dinosaur.4、With teachers helping, students describe the dog together.
