A teaching plan for Revision of Vocabulary【内容分析】在学业考试还有近70天的现在,词汇复习多以考试说明为依托和根本。在本节课中,向学生传递词汇分类记忆的策略,并将引导学生可适当关注相同发音不同词汇、在拼写方面易混淆的词汇、一词多义、词形适当变换等内容。【学情分析】学生对于单词的记忆和运用是英语学习的重点环节之一,但是平时多以词汇表顺序来记忆单词,且记忆方法较为单一,目标比较孤立(多是为了完成听写任务),相对而言,较为缺乏词汇运用能力。【教学目标】1. 学生能够将词汇分类记忆(如colour, weather等),并能在语境中正确运用。2. 学生能够关注形近词的区分、热词冷意、关键动词、词形适当变换等内容。3. 学生能够用正确的方法记忆并运用所学单词,并能再恰当语境中合理使用的词汇习得习惯。【教学重点】学生可以对课堂上介绍的一些策略和学习方法有所了解,并在之后的学习中加以运用【教学难点】1. 学生对相同发音不同词汇、在拼写方面易混淆的词汇、一词多义和词形适当变化的了解。2. 学生可以形成有效学习词汇和适当运用词汇的习惯。【教学用具】学生练习纸,幻灯片辅助教学【教学过程】Step 1.Warming up1. Self introduction. Tell the Ss: Im your English teacher in this class and we are going to do some revision of vocabulary. Lets enjoy a song first, You are my sunshine. 2. Listen and complete the song. You are my sunshineThe other night dear, when I lay sleepingI dreamed I held you in my _But when I awoke, dear, I was mistakenAnd I hung my head and I cried.You are my sunshine, my only sunshineYou make me happy when skies are _Youll never know dear how much I love youPlease dont _ my sunshine away3. Check the words with the whole class. Tell the Ss: The arm is a part of my body. Id like to point at one part of my body and you tell us the English word of it. 【设计意图】从一段简单的歌曲导入今天的词汇复习,让学生填写三个单词(分属名词、形容词和动词),再从复习身体部位的名词来导出一种分类记忆词汇的方法。Step 2. Presentation (Sort the words in group and use them in sentences)1. Get the Ss to give more words about colours. Give grey/ gray as an example. Tell the Ss its a good way to sort the words in groups. 2. Encourage the Ss to make a sentence with a colour. Set an example for them: I have got some grey hair. 3. Show four categories about jobs, places, weather, family members. Ask each group to write the words about each category. In each group, one student tell the words he/ she has written, and another two students make sentences with the words. 【设计意图】从colour示范了词汇分类记忆,引导学生明白单词除了单纯的记忆外,在句子中加以运用才是掌握单词的目的。四个分类(jobs, places, weather, family members)让学生写出单词并练习造句。Step 3. Presentation (Use the words: verb and its expressions)1. Tell the Ss: Verbs are also very important. Show one key verb: take (took, taken) vt. 拿,拿走;服用;乘坐;花费Tell the Ss: I take these words from the green book. Please give the right expressions according to the given Chinese meanings.2. Give more expressions about “take”: take up, take away, take ones time, take off, take place, take back.Ask the Ss to complete the sentences with the right form of the given expressions. 1. You have enough time! Please _.2. The sofa _ a lot of space! I must move it away!3. I lent my ipad to him, and now I must _ it _.4. Who _ my iphone? I cant find it.5. Peter _ the old jacket and put on the new one.6. The next meeting will _ on Thursday.Guide the Ss to remember the expressions and use them correctly in real situations. 3. Tell the Ss: Its important to remember the expressions, but sometimes we still have to look through the sentences very carefully. Tell the Ss: Sometimes we have to change the form of the given word. e.g. Without _ (go) through so much trouble, we cant see the rainbow in the sky.Get the Ss to say the answer and why. 2. Ask the Ss to give different form of the given verb “go”goes/ went/ gone/ going.3. Ask the Ss to give different form of the given words “desk, I, take, one, high”. 4. According to the above examples, practise the following activity. The Ss think about different form of the following words: chair, he, catch, two, heavy. Complete the sentences with the right words.1. Tom was ill at home because he _ a cold. 2. We have been to that city _. 3. What a _ rain! We had to stay at home. 4. Why are those _ dirty? 5. Peter was fooled by _ friends on April Fools Day.【设计意图】通过例子说明动词在句子有适当的形式上变化,随后结合名词、代词、动词、数词和形容词引导学生给出可能有的形式,最后通过一个练习(学业考试题型)加以巩固。Step 5.PracticeComplete the following passages with the right words. April Fools DayApril Fools Day is a day when you can play jokes on others. April Fools Day is 1 (流行的) in Western countries. In the UK, some newspapers write a joke story and let 2 (读者) guess which one it is. For 3 (例子), someone might set the clocks forward one hour. When someone 4 (醒来) up, they shout out about how they will be 5 (迟的) for school or work. 6 (然而), there are some rules for jokes. They must not hurt peoples 7 (感情). Are you 8 (准备好) for jokes? Similar form, different words! One word, different meanings! Mark the word if you make a mistake!Your ideas: 【设计意图】引导学生对本节课上的一些学习方法和策略有整体上的认识,并让学生在平时多将自己学习词汇的一些方法与他人交流。Step 8. HomeworkYou have to finish: 1. Share your ways to remember and use the words with your classmates. 2. Write down words of the same group in Activity 2. 3. Complete the passage about Tomb-Sweeping Day. 4. Make up expressions with catch and get, as many as possible.You may choose one to finish: Make sentences with the expressions of catch. Make sentences with the expressions of get.【设计意图】作业设计体现着对课堂教学环节的延续。根据课堂上演示的词汇学习和复习策略,让学生尝试在课后运用这些策略,将词汇按要求进行归纳和运用。内容上体现分层操作。Tomb-Sweeping
