Happy birthday学情分析:Background of English teaching in primary school: It is not a long history that English is as a subject in primary school in our country ,and the main instructional aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of their listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. Our boys and girls are exposed to English for the first time. So it is very important to develop their keen interest in English.I .Teaching contents: (教材)Today Im going to talk about Part A of Unit 6, PEP Primary English, Book 1. This lesson includes two parts: Lets talk and lets play. In section 1, it mainly deals with the dialogue about“ Happy birthday !”And in section 2, it provides a real situation for the students to practice the sentences: How old are you ? And the answer: Im II. Teaching aims(教学目标)1. Aims the knowledge(知识目标)(1) Enable the students can read the words: happy, birthday, cake . (2) Enable the students understand and speak: “Happy birthday ! Thank you . .How old are you? Im .(3) Make sure that students can use these sentences in real situations. 2. Aims on the abilities (能力目标)(1) Develop students abilities of listening and speaking. (2) Train the students ability of working in groups. (3) Foster students abilities of communication and their innovation3. Aims on the emotion(情感目标)Foster students consciousness of good cooperation. III. Key-points of this lesson (教学重点)(1) Help students ask and answer the question: How old are you ? And the answer Im.(2) Enable students study in groups and co-operate skillfully. (3) Develop students interest in English.IV. Difficult points (教学难点) (1) Help the Students ask and answer the question “How old are you? in real situation. (2) Finish the survey by themselves. V. Teaching methods (教学方法)As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the Students learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the students to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange four kinds of activities: singing, playing game, working in groups and making a survey . VI. Teaching process and purposes of my designing. (教学过程和设计意图)Ill finish this lesson in five steps. Step 1. Warm-up (热身运动) Sing a song “ If you are happy .” Purpose: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the students by singing , at the same time it provides situations to learn the word happy and the sentence ”Happy birthday !” for the next step.Step 2. Presentation(新课展示)Now Ill mainly talk about this step.New words (新词教授)1、Lets learn the new words: happy, birthday. cake. In this step, I ll mainly use the game “touching games” . When I teach the word happy , I ask the students: “ where is the train? “ Students says: here ,here, here . I ask one or two groups with theirs hands touch the card, and speak the word. When I teach the word birthday, I ask the students with theirs head touch the word. When I teach the word cake, I ask the students blow the balloon and speak the word. Purpose: Play a game, its a good way to make the students become more active and increase the students interest in English learning. 2、Introduce a new friend Wu Yi fan to the students. (介绍新朋友,创设情境)Mike: This is my friend Wu Yi fan. Wu Yi fan: Today is Sarahs birthday Look , its a birthday cake. Happy birthday .Sarah : Thank you .Mike : Lets sing a song “Happy birthday to you “Purpose : Set a real situation , it can make the students understand the dialogue well.3.、Teacher put the candles on the birthday cake ,then lead in the key sentence : How old are you ?(教师插蜡烛,导出重点句型) Purpose: To present the key structures one by one is much easier for the students to learn and grasp the meanings. Its also can arouse the students interest in English learning.4、 Play a game.(游戏) Prepare two dice , ask a student come in front of the blackboard and throw the dice , then ask the question: How old are you ? Let the other students answer the question .Purpose: Its not only to practice the key sentences, but also to arouse the students interest in English learning.5、Let s chant (歌谣)Birthday, birthday, happy birthday.Thank you, thank you .How old are you? How old are you?Im nine, Im nine. Purpose: Make the dialogue into chant, it can reduce the difficult of the dialogue. Its easy to learn the dialogue for the students. 6、.With the help of the PPT to present the dialogue.(用课件呈现对话)Mike : Hello, Sarah. This is Wu Yi fan. Wu Yi fan: Happy birthday! Sarah: Thank you .Wu Yi fan: How old are you ?Sarah: Im 9. Lets eat the birthday cake . Mike: Great !7.Listen to the tape again, let the students imitate the dialogue. Pay attention to their pronunciation.(听录音跟读课文) Purpose: Listen to the tape , it can develop the students ability of listening. Step 3. Practice(练习)8、Who wants to be a little teacher? (小老师环节)Ask a or some students come in front of the blackboard to be a little teacher, let the other students follow the little teacher, read the dialogue. Purpose: Its obey to the concept of the new standard of English. It make the students become the host of the class.1. Role play (分角色表演)Work in groups and play a role in character . Divide students into groups of three children. Each one play a role in character , then ask some groups come in front of the blackboard perform .2. Make a survey .(制作表格) Divide the students into groups of five. Each one ask the other students a question: How old are you? Then make a survey. Fill in the form.NameHow old are you?Purpose:These two activities use task-based teaching method, its mainly to develop the students ability of communication and co-operation . Step 4.
