Lesson 34 Modern Olympics 临漳县柳园中学 任淑萍SubjectLesson 34 Modern Olympics选材分析 本课是冀教版八年级下册第六单元第三十四课。通过本课的学习让学生了解古代奥运会和现代奥运会的相同之处和不同之处来学习,表达和践行奥运精神。学情分析八年级的学生已经具备了一定的语言基础和语言分析和表达能力,自己掌握了一定的学习方法和学习策略,也具备了一定的语言知识的归纳总结能力。本单元是围绕着奥运会的主题展开话题讨论,此类话题接近学生的生,容易被学生们接受和学习。课堂上可以多种教学方法的灵活运用,培养学生的自主探究学习能力。教学目标Teaching Goals知识目标Knowledge aims 1. In2008,China hosted the 29th Olympic Games and it was the theme song then.通过播放“我和你”这首歌激发学习兴趣,引入本课学习,同时引出本课的情感目标Step3Presentation1.Show some pictures about the Olympics in Beijing.2.Ask students to describe the pictures themselves with the new vocabulary in this lesson.展示图片,设置情景,激发学习兴趣用本课新词汇描述图片,即学即用。Step4Practice1.Ask: Do you know about other Olympic Games?2 Show some more pictures about the Olympics from1992to2012.3.Make them get to know the similarities and differences among them.拓展知识,给学生创设语言情境,激发学生说英语的欲望,提高语言表达能力。Step5listeningGet the students to listen to the tape and answer the questions in the text book.培养学生听力能力,让学生在听的同时学会捕捉关键信息。Step6Reading1.
