一 Certificate crazeRecently the phenomenon of certificate craze has become a big concern of the public. It is also a new craze in the university, which seems like a routine activity on campus, for certificates do play a vital role when students look for a decent job.Admittedly, there are different purposes behind this phenomenon. Some people aim at certificates because of the employment pressure. With the admission expansion of colleges, a great many graduates have to face the fierce competition in the job market. So it is the certificates that can make them more competitive. However, some others consider all the diploma and certificates important standards by which a persons ability can be measured. They spare no effort to get the certificates for the sole purpose of proving that they are qualified in a certain field. Moreover, there are those who just want to enrich their life by preparing for the certificates because they really enjoy their progress. From my point of view, we should be more rational when it comes to certificates, since certificates do not necessarily prove ones ability. Being crazy in getting certifications blindly is nothing but wasting time. To conclude, we should focus on improving our ability but not merely getting a certificate. My opinion on certificate crazeThe growing tendency among college students to get all kinds of certificates has now evolved into a craze. Just randomly ask a student what he or she is busily engaged in doing, quite possibly, you would get the answer that he or she is preparing for a certificate of some kind. So, whys the craze? The reason behind this phenomenon is common the enormous pressure of finding a job. Faced with a harsh job market, most students have no choice but to seek more certificates to parlay their qualifications. Another factor is that diploma and certificates still weighs heavily in terms of signifying ones ability. For the sake of increasing their odds of landing a better job, the students are compelled to run from one exam to another.Though I have an open mind toward the craze on certificates, I suggest that students should be more rational when it comes to certificates, since they do not necessarily tell their ability. Instead, they should be more involved in learning and capability boosting, thus, opportunities would come quite naturally. 【精彩范文】 The Craze of Pursuing Graduate Studies Each year, millions of Chinese college students sit for qualifying examinations for graduate studies, primarily in Masters programs. Students prepare for those examinations either through years of arduous self-education or by spending large sums of money attending local training schools. The publishing of examinations-related study materials and the training programs offered, both online and offline, have combined to form a sizable industry. An alarming fact about this craze is that most students pursue graduate studies not out of their voluntary will. Faced with the harsh reality in the employment market, which is forever looking for graduates with higher degrees, many college graduates find going to graduate schools is a good way to avoid unemployment and to enhance ones competitiveness in future job hunting. However, without that voluntary initiative, most students who do enter graduate schools are not motivated. For them, the only thing that ultimately counts is the degree or the diploma which they expect could give them an upper hand against other job hunters. As to the actual substance of their graduate studies, its not a big deal for them, as long as it leads to that degree or diploma. It is really pathetic to see that students undertake graduate studies with an ulterior motivenot for the sake of loving what they study, but for the sake of merely landing a job, which in many cases might be unrelated to what they have studied. The chill truth is that students soon find their anticipations are a mere dream. As so many undergraduates proceed onto graduate studies, the employment situation remains as severe as ever. Instead of bringing about apparent competitive edges, two or three years of additional academic training is simply a waste of time and energy. They need to reflect on this craze and would have been b better off distinguishing themselves with outstanding knowledge and skills when they were undergraduates. Landing a Job Related to the Major or Not 1. 很多大学生毕业后从事的工作与所学专业关系不大,原因是 2. 有人认为应该找与专业相关的工作,也有人认为无关紧要 3. 我的看法 【精彩范文】 Landing a Job Related to Ones Major or Not That every college graduate lands a job perfectly geared to his major depends on a series of prerequisite conditionsthat there are sufficient job opportunities, every graduate loves his major, the pay is satisfactory, and the location of the workplace is ideal, etc. All those conditions render a perfect match between ones specialty and ones job a mere wish. In reality, such correspondence is possible only for a few fortunate students. For most students, some of whom cannot even find a job, they should be prepared for jobs only partially or even tangentially related to their major. As a matter of fact, college education does not seek to produce students who only engage in careers based on their major. More and more universities now emphasize foundational and interdisciplinary education to develop broad-caliber students capable of coping with diverse challenges in a rapidly changing world. An important function of university education is just to expand students intellectual capacity and enhance their emotional maturity. Students must realize that studying a particular major does not automatically guarantee a ready career in that major. Of course, students embarking on graduate studies should pursue careers related to their major. A student prepared to spend two or three years on a Masters program and another three or five years on a Ph.D. program must have an intense and genuine interest in a particular subject. The failure to work in a related field would be a huge waste of the time and energy, and of the in-depth knowledge acquired. In seeking a job, a student should opt for the job that accords with his interest and allows him to best exploit his talents. Ones career success depends not necessarily on ones specialized knowledge, but on how one updates the existing knowledge and fits into a new environment. Landing a Job Related to the Major or Not1. 很多大学生毕业后从事的工作与所学专业关系不大,原因是2. 有人认为应该找与专业相关的工作,也有人认为无关紧要3. 我的看法 范文与点评Landing a Job Related to the Major or NotA good many university graduates are forced to find jobs distantly related to their majors, partly because of the fierce competition in the employment market. As long as a job can be available, less attention is given to the relation between the scope of work and their majors. As is argued by many, this may indicate that the four years study in the university is a complete waste of time and efforts. In this case, what is the point of studying so industriously in the university? Others, however, believe that university is a place where ones integrated quality can be improved Thus whatever field one is going to be engaged in, the comprehensive quality fostered in university is of great value. Besides, youngsters have to give priority to a chance of being employed for living, even if the work is somehow detached from what they have learned in university. As for me, in this society full of stress and competition, to find a job is of vital importance. If the precious chance of being employed is given,we should make good use of the experience in university and learn in practice.1.目前大学毕业生就业竞争非常激烈 2.有人认为去找工作不如自己创业 3.我的看法 【精彩范文】 Should College Graduates Start Their Own Business? With the competition in the job market becoming increasingly fierce for college graduates, some ambitious students have tried their hands at launching their own businesses. Over the years, there have been many successful cases of student entrepreneurship and such attempts should be encouraged and promoted by both the universities and the society at large. College students who start businesses are pioneers, among whom will be born Chinas future business leaders. Faced with unknown challenges, they are audacious enough to embark on a perilous journey while most of their peers enjoy stable salaries by working as white-collars at high-end office buildings. Nevertheless, they are the masters of their own destiny and, exposed to many more uncertainties and setbacks, they develop perseverance, stamina and the indomitable spirit that are indispensible to all the great entrepreneurs. Even if they fail, they are not down; they keep exploring for new business opportunities and work tirelessly until they succeed. As people of vision, of individual initiative, of leadership, and of creativity and innovation, they represent the future and the hope of a nation. Not all college graduates are suitable for undertaking entrepreneurial projects. To launch a business, one needs to have a sound business idea, a viable business plan, the charisma to create a cohesive team where members make concerted efforts for a common objective, effective managerial skills, and above all, the courage to compete against powerful rivals and ultimately to prevail. The essential difference between the students who become civic servants in government organizations or employees at leading domestic or multinational companies and those who create their own businesses is that the former are docile followers whereas the latter are aggressive trailblazers. For this reason, business-launching college graduates are more admirable, and thus they command our deep respect. College Students Job Hunting1)近年来出现大学生就业难的现象2)产生这一现象的原因3)如何解决这一问题College Students Job HuntingNowadays, the employment of college students is becoming more and more of a problem. About a decade ago, university students could find satisfactory and enviable jobs after graduation, while the things are quite different at present. In addition, according to statistics, about 30% of graduate students cant find a job but stay at home after graduation.Employment difficulty of college students is due to the following reasons. Among these, the increasing recruitment of colleges and universities plays a vital role. In addition, many colleges and universities fail to adapt their courses to the development of economy.Considering the seriousness of unemployment of college students, I think it is high time that we took effective measures to solve the problem. Above all, college students should realize their own defects and further improve themselves to keep their competitive edge in society. Moreover, colleges or universities should provide more trainings and internship opportunities before the students enter the society. Besides, college students should hold a right attitude towards jobs and set their job expectations at a suitab
