Warming upSay hello to the students and ask them if they like drawing pictures. Draw some pictures on the screen and ask them to guess what the people are doing.Revise the structure of the Present Progressive.Step 2.Guessing and talkingShow them a photo of the teacher and ask them to guess what she was doing at seven last night.-what was I doing at seven last night?-Were you ing ? Step 3 . PairworkAsk the students to work in pairs and make the conversations like this:-what were you doing at seven last night?-I was ing ( watching TV, doing homework ,eating dinner ect. )at seven last night? Step 4.1aLook at the pictures. Yesterday, there was a rainstorm. Where were the people when the rainstorm came?Match the statements with the people in the picture.1. _ I was in the library.2. _ I was in my house.3._ I was on the street.4._ I was at the bus stop.Step 5. Listening1b:What were they doing when the rainstorm came? Lets listen.
