Teaching Procedures Step1 Lead inWatch a video about the interests of the world.Step2 Presentation and Practice First, check the students pronunciations of the new words. Make sure that students have the right pronunciations.Then, students finish these tasks.Task 1 I can do!1. Students finish this task according to Activity 1a. In Part 1a, 6 places are given. Please read the names of these places. (Teacher writes the names on the blackboard.) Which of these places would you like to visit? Rank them from 1 to 6.2. Encourage students to put up their hands to talk about other places students ever been to in English.Task 2 I can listen! Work on 1b. 1. Know about the names of the five museums.2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen, and students check the boxes in 2b. 3. Play the recording again. Let Ss check the facts they hear. 4. Check the answers.Work on 2a:1. Look at the pictures in 2a.Talk about the places in the map of the town in 2a. 2. Play the recording for the Students to listen and circle the places you hear. 3. Play the recording again to check the answers. Work on 2b: 1. Let Students read the sentences in 2b. Explain some main sentences for the Ss. make sure they know what to do. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to circle “T” or “F”.3. Play the recording again to check the answers.4. Read the listening passage and correct the mistakes.Task 3 I can speak!First, students read conversations in 1c and 2c together. Then they will make their own conversations according to 1a and listening materials to communicate with each other. Then, ask some pairs to perform their conversations in class. Praise the students who do the best.Then, the teacher can list some important words, phrases or some sentences on the blackboard. Explain them in details if necessary.Step 3 Consolidation First, have the students read activity 2d together. Then ask students to get the main idea of 2d. (There are many sides to a story and many ways to understand it.) Then, ask the students to answer the following questions according to 2d: 1.What did Anna do last weekend? 2.What did Jill do last weekend? 3.Has Anna been camping?Next, explain the important phrases and sentences in details if necessary.e.g.1. I learned about the inventions that led to color movies, too. 我还了解了一些发明,它们成就了彩色电影。此处learn是“了解;获知;得知”的意思,由介词about或of引入所获知的具体内容。例如: 1.The children were all shocked to learn of the death of their headmaster. 得知校长去世,孩子们都十分震惊。 I only learned about the accident later. 我只是后来才得知了事故的情况。 2. Ive never been camping. 我从未野营过。 此句为现在完成进行时。这一时态的结构为“have been + 现在分词”,表示从过去某一时刻延续至今的动作。在本句中,说话人使用这一时态来强调自己至今从未有过野营的经历,欠缺这方面的经验。又如: Hes been watching TV all afternoon. 他一下午都在看电视。 Weve been living like this ever since the birth of my little brother. 自打我小弟弟出生,我们就一直这样生活。Step 4 Summary Ask the students to finish the exercises according to what they learn in this period.1.我去过北京两次。I _ _ _ Beijing twice.2. 大声读书是一种学习英语的好方法。Reading aloud _ _ _ _ to learn English.3. 昨天他没有去那,我也没去。He didnt go there yesterday. _ _. 4. 我了解了一些电影的知识。I _ _ some information about movie.5. 他的粗心导致了这次失败。His carelessness _ _ this failure.选用have, has填空:1.
