Unit 4 Why dont you talk to your parents?Section A 1a2d 甘南县宝山乡长吉岗学校 张慧颖一、 教学目标:知识与技能:1. 学习并掌握下列单词:allow, wrong, midnight,guess,,deal,2. 能正确使用以下常用表达:Whats wrong? look through , big deal , work out, too much,too many, get into a fight with sb, allow sb to do sth, so that,be good at doing, find sb doing, No problem. 3. 能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式:A: Whats wrong? B: Im really tired because I studied until midnight last night.A: Why dont you go to sleep earlier this evening?过程与方法:采用直观教学法,角色表演等方法,通过听说训练,学会谈论问题并给出相应建议, 注意连词的使用。情感态度与价值观:通过本课的学习,培养学生善于表达自己的问题,并乐于找到解决的办法,建立开朗健康的人格。教学重点:Talk about problems and give advice.教学难点:How to give great advice to others.Give advice using Why dont you? or Why not?教学方法:情景教学法;任务型教学法。教学流程Step 1Review:Greet the class .Step 2Warm up and PresentationFirst ask Ss take out their Guided Learning Plan and check out new words and phrases right or wrong.Learn new phrases by showing some pictures.Step 3Work on 1aLook at these problems. Do you think they are serious or not? Ss discuss with their partners.Do a survey to see which is the most serious .Discuss these problems in pairs and report the result to the class.Step 4Listening1b.Play the recording.Have Ss circle the problems they hear.Then listen again to answer two questions.Step5Practice1. 机械操练 (Mechanical Drills) 1) Learn to talk about problems and advice according to some pictures:A. Whats wrong with you ?B: I got a fight with my best friend. What should I do? A: I think you could write him a letter.2. 有意义操练 (Meaningful Drills) Pair work:(1) Practice the conversations in pairs according to some pictures.(2) 2d : Role play the conversation. Answer the following questions: 1) What are the Kims problems? 2) Who is giving advice? 3) What is Dives advice?(3) Check the answers and explain some language points.3. 交际性操练 (Communicative Drills) Some students to say their problems and others give them some advice. Make their own conversations according to 2d, and then share their new conversations.Step7 ConsolidationListening practice:1. 1bIntroduce what the conversations are about briefly.Read the five sentences.Get the students to listen and look at the pictures, then circle. Share their answers.2. 2aFirst get the students to read the instruction and understand the means of could and should.Then get them to listen and fill in the blanks.Share their answers.Read and understand the five sentences in 2a.3. 2bGive the students 20 seconds to prepare for listening.Listen again and match the problems with the advice. Share their answers.
