I ride my bike./ I get to school by bike.How does Mary get to school? She takes the subway/ She gets to school by subway. 3. Talk about how to get to places Teaching key points and difficulties:How do you get to school? I ride my bike./ I get to school by bike.How does Mary get to school? She takes the subway/ She gets to school by subway. Skill aims : Listening and speaking skills.Moral aims: Obey the traffic rules, mind your safety.Step 1 Warming-up and Lead in. 1. Greetings.2. Listen to the song and lead in.Step2:Presentation1.Newwordsabouttransportationtools:train,bus,subway,bike,T: What other words about transportation do you know? Add more.3. Lead the Ss to Read the new words and phrases.Step 3 Work on 1a. 1. First ask students to look at the picture. And read the sample sentences to them. Ask them to repeat. 2. Let Ss say how other Ss in the picture get to school. Give them some help if necessary. Then ask them to write in the box and add other ways to get to school.3. Check the answers.4. Explain we can express how to get to school in two ways. A: How do you get to school ? B: I get to school by bus./ I take a bus to school.5. Let students ask and answer like this: Step 4 Work on 1b. 1. Tell Ss to listen to a recording. Two people are talking about how some Ss get to school. 2. Point out the names of the Ss in the box. Read the names to the class. 3. T: Now listen to the conversation. Please write the number of the name in the box next to the student. One of them has already been done. 4. Then play the recording. Ask the Ss to write the numbers of the names next to the correct Ss.5. Ask Ss to complete the activity individually. Then check the answers.6. Listen again and fill in the blanks and check the answersStep 5: Work on 1c.1. Ask the Ss to read the dialogue in the speech bubbles to the class. 2. Have Ss work with a partner. Let them make their own conversations about how the people in the picture get to school.3. Ask the Ss to work in pairs. Ask and answer how Ss get to school in the picture. 4. As they talk, move around the room, offering language or pronunciation support their as needed.5. Ask some pairs of the Ss to present their conversations to the class.Step 6 presentation 2 .1.
