Because theyre really scary.语法: why 引导的特殊疑问句及回答;where 引导的特殊疑问句及其回答。语音: 能识别并正确朗读本课时的单词。2. 语言技能目标听:能根据录音划出动物的名称,并能听懂描述动物的句子。说:能用形容词来描述动物,询问动物来自哪里以及喜欢某种动物的原因。读:能阅读介绍动物的文章。写:能写出简短的句子来介绍动物,并能正确运用大小写及标点符号。3. 学习策略目标自学策略:培养话题和词汇的语域意识,形成话题联想的习惯。交际策略:相互介绍自己喜欢和不喜欢的动物,尊重他人的喜好。4. 文化意识目标:通过认识动物了解世界各国文化,提高文化意识能力。5. 情感态度目标:通过学习让学生认识动物、培养学生对动物的喜爱之情,保护动物的意识以及了解大自然。三、教学重、难点1. 教学重点1) Key vocabulary: panda, zoo, tiger, elephant, lion, giraffe, animal, cute, smart,beautiful,scary, kind of 2) Key structures: Letsseethepandasfirst. Because theyre really scary.2. 教学难点 熟记各种动物的英文名称;描述喜好并说明原因。四、教学策略1. 充分利用单词卡片和教学图片,分词性进行单词教学。2. 借助多媒体手段和大量的练习进行语言项目的教学。五、教学过程1.教学步骤和内容要点Step 1 Brainstorming(头脑风暴) To create an English environment, the teacher shows the class some pictures of a zoo. And ask some questions about animals:Do you like to go to the zoo?Do you like animals?Then get the students to recall the animals they have learned and write them down on the blackboard as he/she can.Step 2 Presentation(1) Learn the new words about animals using some pictures.And the students read the words and spell them one by one, then point out the plural forms of the words. Students look at the pictures and try to remember the new words of the animals. (2)Ask the students to recall the description words and then show some new ones. The students read to remember them. (3) Finish 1a, and then check the answers.(4) Presentkey sentences with the pictures.Step 3 ListeningWork on 1b. Tell Students to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a. Play the recording again and check the answers with the class. Step 4 Pair work Ask the students to imagine “We are in the zoo, there are many kinds of animals here.” Then ask a student to do the model with you: Lets see the lions first. Why? (why do you like lions?) Because they are interesting. Talk about the animals in 1a. Then practice more. A: What animals do you like?B: I like elephants.A: Why?B: Because theyre cute. What animals do you like?A: I like dogs because theyre friendly and smart.Step 5 Listening来1. Work on 2a, Show three countries on the map and teach the new words: Australia, South Africa, China. T: Listen to the conversation carefully. Then write the names of the animals you hear on these lines.Play the recording the first time. Students only listen.Play the recording a second time. This time students write down the names of the animals.Check the answers.Point out the adjectives and countries listed on the right. Ask a student to say the words.Say, Now I will play the recording again. This time draw a line between each animal and the adjective and countries you hear.Play the recording and have students match each animal with an adjective and a country.Correct the answers.2. Work on 2b T: Listen again and complete the conversation with the words in 2a. Play the recording for the students to listen and write the answers. Check the answers with the class. Step 6 Pair work 1. Ask two students to read the conversation in 2b to the class.2. Ss practice the conversation in pairs.3. Then show the transcription on the big screen and practice the other two conversations in 2a.4. Ss practice the conversations in pairs. Step 7 Explain the notes1. Welcome to the zoo. 欢迎来到动物园。Welcome to 欢迎来到2. Lets see the lions. 这是一个lets开头的句子,表示邀请,建议;意为“让我们吧”。lets是let us缩写,后面接动词原形。即let sb. do sth. 拓展:其他表示建议的句子还有:what / how about doing sth. ?3. Why do you want to see them?为什么你想去看他们?Because they are cute. 因为它们很有趣。1)Why 是特殊疑问词,意为“为什么”,用来引导询问原因的特殊疑问句。常用because引导的句子来回答,表示直接的原因或理由。2)注意:在英语中用because 不用so,或用so不用because 如:判断:Because English is very interesting, I like it. ( )Because English is very interesting, so I like it. ( )3)want sth 想要某物 我想要一件蓝色毛衣。I _ _blue sweater.want to do sth . 想要做某事 4. Where are lions from?狮子来自哪里?be from 意为“来自”,同义词是 come from. 辨析两组短语be from, come from: Where are lions from? Where do lions come from? 5. Because theyre kind of interesting. 因为它们有几分有趣。 kind 种类, kind of “有点儿” , 相当于a little,后面常跟形容词。The apple is kind of eresting形容词,指令人感兴趣的。人对感兴趣用interested。7. Why dont you like tigers? 为什么你不喜欢老虎呢?Why dont you do sth.? 你为什么不做某事呢?相当于why not do sth.?Step 8. Exercises一、句型转换,每空一词。1.Tom and Mike like penguins. (一般疑问句) _ Tom and Mike _ penguins?2. Linda likes giraffes. (提问) _ _ _ Linda _?3. He likes koalas because they are very cute. (提问) _ _ he _ koalas?4. The pandas are from China. (提问) _ _ the pandas from?5.
