Section A 一、教学目标1.知识和能力目标:1)学习并掌握谈论身高体重发型以及五官的汇:tall,short, thin, heavy, medium height/build, long/short/curly/straight hair,a round/long face, a big/small nose, big/small eyes等. 2)学习并掌握讨论人的外貌的句型:What does he/she look like? What do you/they look like? She/He is,She/He has. 2.情感目标:学会委婉的谈论别人的外貌,尊重他人;并学会不要以貌取人。二、教学重点和难点1.掌握描述人的外貌的词汇和句型2.正确使用is和have/has三、教学手段:PPT和白板四、板书设计 Unit 9 What does he look like? What does he/she look like? He/She has long/short/curly/straight hair. He/She is tall/short/thin/heavy. He/She is of medium build/height.五、教学过程 Step one: Warming up and leading in Say hello to the students and talk about the day, date and the weather to get them relaxed.Ask them to describe me by asking “Im your English teacher. What do I look like? Am I tall or short? Am I thin or heavy? Do I have short hair or long hair?.” Help them to answer. Then say today well learn to talk about peoples looks.By describing one of the classmates, guess “ Who is it?” to get them interested in what they will learn. Then show the picture to see if they are right or not.Step Two: PresentationShow a picture to them, learn the names of parts of the body. Then have them remember these words in one minute, ask some of them to come to the blackboard to write the words. Check the answers.Show some pictures, ask “What does he/she look like?” Learn to say :She/He has big eyes/small ears/a big mouthThen learn about hair according to the pictures: short/long/straight/curly hair. Ask “What does he/she look like?” Help them to say: She/He has hair.Sum up what we have just learned ,and write on the blackboard.Ask some of them to come to the blackboard to draw pictures and describe to the others.Step Three: PresentationShow some pictures to learn the new words, tall/short/of medium height/ thin/heavy/of medium build, then ask “What does he/she look like?”Help them to answer: She/He is tall/short/of medium height. She/He is thin/heavy/of medium build.Sum up what we have just learned ,and write on the blackboard.Step Four: Practice1.Challenge :Guess who the persons are by asking about their looks.2.Guessing: Take out a piece of paper, write about yourself, use what we learn in this class, at least six sentences, dont write down your names, then mix up ,guess who he/she is.Step Fiv
