Unit 4 Dont eat in class(2a-2c)教学设计 Step1 Greetings Step2 Show the language goals 1:Knowledge goal: Know some home rules by Mollys annoyance(知识目标:通过Mollys 的烦恼,知道一些家规) 2:Ability goal: Can write some rules by Dont / must / have to / cant(能力目标:通过用Dont / must / have to / cant 能够写出一些规则) 3:Emotion goal: Let students know that teachers and parents make rules to help themselves and they have to follow them(情感目标:让学生理解学校和老师制定的规则都是在帮助他们,同时学生应该遵守这些规则)Step 3 Review-Check the learned words- devide the student into two parts-boys group and girls group。(Find 12 students-6 boys and 6 girls, Whose answer is right, give her or him one mark.they review the words by reading and spelling them) 1 T: Show some pictures on the big screen and review them 2 S: kitchen, terrible, dirty, read, make the bed, relax, noisy, strict, follow the rules, learn, remember, keep quiet Step 4 Lead in-write the rules for the school library on the blackboard(Find 4 students-2 boys and 2 girls, Whose answer is right, give her or him one mark) T: Can you write the rules for the school library? S1:Dont talk. S2:Dont listen to music S3:Dont eat or drink. S4:Dont take photos. T: Can you write them by another way? S1: No talking. S2: No music. S3: No food. S4: No photos. Step5 Talk time-Whose answer is right, give her or him one mark 1 T: What are rules in your family? S1:Dont fight. S2: I have to do my homework first after school . S3: I cant play computer games. S4: I cant watch TV on school nights. S4: I have to. 2 T: When you are not happy about something, what do you like to do? S1:I like to be quiet. S2:I like to watch TV. S3: I like to listen to music. S4: I like to play basketball. S5: I like to. 3 Who do you like to talk to? S1: I like to talk to my aunt. S2: I like to talk to my best friend. S3: I like to talk to my sister. S4: I like to talk to my teacher. S5: I like to talk to. 4 I know your family rules, your unhappiness and so on. Well, what about Molly? Lets read the letter from her. Step6 Reading-read the letters three times Work on 2b. 1 The first time: Fast reading(略读)-Just scan the letter, find the answers of these questions. (1) How does Molly feel about the rules? (2)What does Dr. Know think of school and home rules? (3)Underline the rules for Molly (check the answers with the class by finishing the following chart-Find 4 students-2 boys and 2 girls to write them on the blackboard.) Make a chart about Mollys rules in different places(完成Molly在不同时间和不同地点的规则表格) Time At home At school Advice (建议) Morning After school 2 The second time: careful reading(精读)-Circle the language pointsLearn the language points with the class (1). make the bed/make ones bed 整理床铺 e.g. 鲍勃总是自己整理床铺。 Bob always makes his bed himself. 你会整理床铺吗? Can you make the bed? (2). practice v. 意为“练习”后面可跟名词、代词或动名词(doing)。 e.g. 我每天早晨必须练习英语。 I must practice English every morning. 许先生每天练习功夫。 Mr. Xu practices doing Kong fu every day. (3). After dinner, I cant relax either. 晚饭后我也不能轻松。 副词either表示“也”,用于否定句句末,用法与表示肯定或陈述的副词too相似. e.g. You like English. I like it, too. 你喜欢英语,我也喜欢。 My father cant speak English. My mother cant (speak it), either. 我爸不会讲英语,我妈也不会。 (4). be strict (with sb.) (对某人)严格的 e.g. Our math teacher is very strict. 我们的数学老师很严格。 Are your parents strict with you? 你的父母对你严格吗? (5). have to与must haveto着重于客观的需要,含有“不得不”的客观强制性; must着重于主观上自己认为有义务、有必要。 e.g. She has to clean the room every week. 她每周都得打扫房间。 I must go now. 我现在必须走。 3 The third time: Selected reading(选读)-Work on 2c- Read the letters again. Complete the sentences with have to/must, can or cant.Check the answers with class (1) cant; can (2)must (3)must; can (4)cant (5) have to Step6 Who is the winner? The boys or the girls?
