Theyre between the post office and the library.4.通过听力训练,两人一组合作和角色扮演的方式,在情景交际中练习语言点,提高英语听说能力。在课堂活动中轻松学习、练习英语,学会相互合作,培养乐于助人的精神。教学内容:1.复习、运用there be句型,学习where引导的特殊疑问句,询问社区内的设施的位置。2.学习运用方位介词短语描述地理位置。教学重难点:1.掌握运用there be 句型和where 引导的特殊疑问句。2.正确运用表示方位的介词短语描述设施的位置。 教学思路:本课时的教学内容是人教版七年级下册英语第八单元的第二课时,重点是运用方位介词短语描述各种社区设施的地理位置,进一步学习问路、指路的交际用语。首先通过图片展示方位介词,让学生有立体感受,明确空间位置关系,以听说活动引起学生的兴趣,以任务激发学生学习、练习目标语言,并总结本单元的重点句型,通过完成习题巩固Section A部分重点语法项目。因此,where引导的特殊疑问句和正确运用方位介词为本课时的知识目标,情感目标定为激发学生学习的兴趣,培养学生乐于助人的品质。教学准备:设计教学PPT,多媒体,相应的图片。教学过程:Step.Lead inWarm up by reviewing the conversation in 1c.T: Good morning/afternoon, boys and girls.Ss: Good morning/afternoon, Mr./Ms.1.T: Look at the picture in 1a.Ask and answer like this.Give an example:A: Good morning!B: Good morning! Is there a hotel near here?A: Yes, there is.Its on Long Street.Then Ss practice about asking for directions on the street.2.T: Is there a bank near here?Ss: Yes, there is.Its on Long Street.T: Thats right.The bank is across from the park.Write “across from” on the blackboard.T: I stand across from you.Do you understand the meaning of “across from”?Ss: Yes.T: Is there a hotel near the park?Ss: Yes, there is.T: Youre right.The hotel is next to the park.The teacher presents the prepositions or the phrases of prepositions on the blackboard.Give the Chinese meanings if necessary.Read the words and phrases together.T: Read after me.3.T: Look at the picture in 1a again.Is the pay phone next to the hotel?S1: No, it isnt.The pay phone is next to the post office.T: Whats in front of the post office?S2: A car is in front of the post office.Ask students more questions to make sure they understand the meanings of the phrases of prepositions.设计意图通过复习问路的方式引入介词短语的学习, 然后通过看图问答来检测学生是否理解这些方位介词短语的含义。Step.Work on 2a1.Use the picture in 1a to present the new words of prepositions.T: Look at the picture in 1a again.Wheres the police station?Ss: Its on Bridge Street.T: Yes.The police station is on Bridge Street.Its between the restaurant and the hospital.The teacher writes the new words “betweenand” on the blackboard and teaches them.Then in the same way, the teacher teaches “across from, next to” and other propositions.2.T: Please look at the pictures in 2a.How many pictures can you see?Ss: Six.T: What are the people in the pictures probably talking about?Ss: Theyre probably talking about directions.T: Yes, there is a pay phone in each picture.Its in different positions in each picture.Read the sentences together.Read the sentences together twice.T: Who can tell me the meanings of the sentences?Ask one student to translate them into Chinese.T: Match the pictures with the sentences.Write the number in the box.Check the answers.【Keys】2a: From left to right: 4, 6, 2, 3, 5, 1设计意图由1a的图片引导学生在头脑中将设施的位置与介词的意思形成统一,强化学生对方位介词短语的理解,然后再将2a中的句子所表达的意思说出来。Step .Work on 2b-2c1.Listening activities (2b)T:Before listening,lets read the words in the box.Students read the words in the box.T: Who can tell us the meanings of the words or phrases?Ask one student to translate them into Chinese.T: Now Ill play the conversation.Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks with the words in the box.If you cant write down all the information, you can only write the first letters or the key words.2.Play the tape twice.
