Unit 6 Im watching TV 第一课时教学设计 一、本课教学内容分析1语言功能项目:谈论或询问人们正在做什么,2语法结构:The Present Progressive Tense(现在进行时)。3语言目标:掌握 What are you doing?等句式及其回答。二、教学重点和难点1、重点:词汇read, clean ,talk on the phone, apartment 语言结构What am I doing? What are you doing? What is he / she /it doing? What are they doing? 及其回答,并注意动词现在分词的变化规则。2、难点:现在进行时的结构。 教学过程:(第一课时)Section A (1a1c)Step1. Warming up and Lead-in1.Greet students as usual, tell them what they are going to learn today: The Present Progressive Tense,2.Act out some activities to lead in and teach the new words. eg. Sing an English song T: What am I ding ? T: Im singing . Close the door. T: What am I doing? Ss:You are closing the door. T: What are we doing ? T:We are having an English class now. T: What are you doing ? T: Youre learning English.Step2.Presentation1.Show the main words and phrases on the screen.Teach the students to learn them read a newspaper use the computer make soup do the dishes go to the movies talk on the phone listen to a CD . clean the classroom T: What are they doing? Ss: They are cleaning the classroom. read a book T:- What is he doing? Ss:-He is reading a book.talk on the phone T:- What is she doing? Ss: She is talking on the phone New words: read clean talk on the phone 2. Guessing gameThis is an oral review of the vocabulary and other target language.(1) Let one student does an activity and the others guess what he / she is doing?(2) Guessing Game. Show some pictures to the students and let them guess: Whats he / she /it doing? He / She /It is What are they doing? They are 3. Show some pictures to the students to present other sentence structures: What is he / she /it doing? -He/She/It is What are they doing?They are In this way to revise some names of activities. Step3 Match work 1a (1) Show a picture with an apartment to the Ss and ask: What is this?Its an apartment. Teach apartment / happy. (2) Show the picture on to the Ss and say, This is a happy apartment. There are many people in it. Today is Sunday. Many people are at home.Now, look at the pictures.Work in pairs to ask and answer questions like this:S1:What is the boy in picture e doing?S2:He is talking on the phone.(3) Ask students match each word or phrase with one of the pictures quickly. Then check the answer. Step4 Listening 1b (1) Point out the names of the people. T: Im a member of this apartment. Let me introduce the neighbors to you. (show the pictures to them) Jenny Dave Mary John (2) Listen T: What are these people doing? Listen to the recording and write the number of the activity each person is doing.(3) Check the answers. Step5. 1c PairworkT: Suppose you are one of them. Make a dialogue like this: A: What are you doing, Jenny? B: Im watching TV.
