新目标七年级下Unit9 What does he look like? Period1(1a-1c)第一课时一、教材分析 本单元的话题是谈论外貌。本节课的话题出自Unit 9 What does he look like?(1a-1c) 主要让学生认知表示外貌的单词,学会谈论自己及他人的外貌。二、学情分析 七年级的学生具有过渡性和动荡性的心理特点,处于两极分化的突出时候,学生差异较大,因此在任务设计上我注重分层,面向全体,充分调动每个学生的积极性。但由于这个阶段的学生活泼好动,好奇心较强,所以在课堂设计上我十分注意生动活泼但不幼稚,发扬传统但不古板。 三、教学目标分析 1.Knowledge Objectives(知识目标) (1) Be able to master the pronunciation,meaning and spelling of the appearance. (2) Be able to talk about ones appearance by using “What does he look like? he is tall/short/of medium build” 2. Ability Objectives(能力目标) Be able to talk about ones appearance3.Moral Objectives(情感态度目标) (1) Improve the cooperative spirit through pair work and role playing (2) Care more about the ability 四、重难点设计 由于本节课的话题是谈论外貌,根据课标要求,学生需掌握有关外貌的单词,并能针对外貌提问,因此本节课的教学重点设计如下: 1.The teaching focus: (1)Master the words of appearance. (2)Talk about ones appearance by using What does he look like? He is tall/short /of medium build. He is heavy/ thin/of medium build. He has long straight black hair.本节课的话题学生以前接触较少,知识储量有限,让他们在较短的时间内掌握较多的新单词有一定难度。因此本节课的教学难点设置如下: 2.The teaching difficulties: Students may find it difficult to remember all the target new words in the class 五、教学方法和学习策略分析 1.教学方法 (1)恰当运用多媒体辅助教学,提高课堂效率增加趣味性。 (2)以学生为中心,开展Role play, Pair work,Group work等英语教学活动。 (3)注重分层教学,尊重差异,让不同层次的学生都能参与,获得成就感。 (4)“任务型“活动策略,在做中学和练,任务明确,活动面广,使学生在交际中真实运用所学知识。 2.学习策略 (1)Inferring vocabulary (2)Role play (3)Group and pair work 六、Procedure s 教学过程 1. Lead-in (导入) Greet students: T: “Good morning, boys and girls.” Leadingin: T:“I am very happy to be your teacher for this class. I love you so much because all of you are so cute. You are my favorite students ,but who is your favorite teacher,of course besides me? Is he tall or short? Is he heavy or short? What does he look like?” Today, We will learn “Unit 9 What does he look like?” 2. Learning target(学习目标) Let the students read the learning targets together. 3. Presentation of words about appearance(1) review the words by asking students to write them on the blackboard. (2) do the exercise in 1a. (3)Check the answers to see the students if they have mastered the words (三)Presentation of sentences about appearance .Learn to Say Try to describe build, height and hair according to different pictures . T:”What does he look like?” S:”He is heavy/thin/of medium build” “He is tall/ short/of medium build” “ He has short straight black hair” (设计说明:,通过描绘不同的人物,自然的引出了有关外貌的单词,简单直观,易于学生接受。同时也为1b的听力练习做准备) (4) Listening Practice(听力练习) 1. Pre-listening( 听前) Analyze the environment of the persons in 1a and try to predict:Is Amys friend a boy or a girl? 2.While-listening(听中) Listen and do the exercise in 1b. 3. Post-listening(听后) (1)check the answers by asking: What does Amys friend look like? (2)Ask the students to read the text and answer the following question: Who is Amys friend?(教师通过将听力部分划分为三部分可以适当降低听力的难度并且培养学生良好的听力习惯。) (5) Practice( 练习)1.Pair work (两人合作练习) First, the teacher sets a example by making a dialogue with a student. Then, the students work in pairs and make their own dialogues with their deskmate according to the pictures of their teachers. Last, act them out in the class.2. Group work(小组合作练习)Work in groups of four. Make dialogues according to one of their group member. (教师通过使用不同方式的分层练习使学生逐步掌握重点句子。)3. To be a writer Write a composition to describe your favorite teache
