Unit5 Why do you like pandas? Section A(1a-2c)授课教师: 王露莹一、本单元设计意图英语(新目标)是以任务型语言教学为基础的英语教材,它体现“以学生为中心”的教学思想。在教学实际当中,我们应该坚持“以学生为主体,以任务教学为主线,以教学为主导,以学生的能力培养为重点,逐步培养学生自主学习的能力”的教学策略。教材中每个单元都是一个独立的话题,但它在学生的实际生活中连成了一个整体。本单元的教学设计本着新目标的理念,针对学生的实际及教学实际来实施的。二、教材分析1教学内容分析本单元是教材的第五单元,它以学生较为感兴趣的动物为谈论话题,通过对句型:- Why do you like ? - Because they are I like / dont like .s, because they are . And they are from She/ He likes / doesnt like .s, because they are . 练习喜好的表达和询问方式,以及对动物个性特点的描述,同时教育学生爱护和保护动物。整个单元以对动物的讨论为主线,将动物名称和有关描述动物的词汇、句型和一些常用的表达法融入到一系列的小人物中,初一的学生通过完成一个个的任务达到交际的目的,从而能够表达自己的喜好及原因。2. 教学对象分析 学生通过前段时间的学习,对一般现在时态的用法已经有了一定的语感和模仿运用的能力,也能够用简单的英语表达个人意见。通过本单元的学习能进一步掌握一般现在时be动词、实意动词和助动词的用法并能用英语谈论自己的喜好。3教学目标通过本节课的学习,要求学生l 学习相关的喜好表达方法以及重点的结构,能够通过词汇、句型的学习来与他人交谈;l 通过描述自己和他人的喜好,教育学生爱护和保护动物。4教学重难点:l 能正确使用why,what和where引导的特殊疑问句进行回答Why do you like .s?Because they are .What animals do you like?I like .Where are they from?They are from .l 第三人称单数谓语动词的运用He likes tigers because they are cool.She doesnt like monkeys because they are noisy.l 能正确使用表示性质和品质的形容词I like pandas because they are cute. I dont like tigers because they are scary.Teaching procedure:Step One Greetings Say Good morning to the students. Step Two Lead-in Ask students whether they know what are in the zoo. According to their answers animals, lead all of them to learn new words of the animals. And add more words of the animals.Step Three Listening 1bPlay the recorder and ask students to do activity 1b.Step Four Pair work. Show some pictures and a sample dialogue to the students, then ask them to make more conversations and act them out.A: Lets see the lions.B: Why do you want to see them?A: Because they are interesting.animals: koala giraffe panda elephant tiger dolphin penguin bear kangaroo golden monkeydescription words: cute interesting fun smart beautiful friendly shyStep Five Presentation1. Make sentences with the animals you like: eg: I like pandas, because they are cute.2. Make sentences with the animals you dont like: eg: I dont like pandas, because they are shy.3. Change I to He/ She to make a new sentence. eg: He/ She doesnt like pandas, because theyre shy.Step Six Listening 2a and 2b & 2c1. Listen and complete 2a. Play the recorder, let students find out the animals theyhear and match the description words and countries.2. Listen and complete 2b.3. Using the information of the tape scripts to complete two dialogues.Step Seven Make a report1. Ask students to ask their partners what animals they like and they dont like. Takenotes at the same time.2. Ask students to do a report about their notes.Step Eight WritingAsk students write their report down. Let one student write on the blackboard and check with other students. And then read another students report to check.Sample: I like pandas because they are cute, but I dont like tigers because they arescary. My friend Li Ming likes lions because they are cool, but he doesnt likemonkeys because they are too noisy.Step Summary and Homework 1. Make a list of the animals you know and try to describe each animal with a word we learnt in this class. 2.
