Unit 7 Its raining. Section A (1a-2c)学情分析:七年级的学生好动,好奇心较强,因此应采用形式多样的教学方法激发学生的兴趣,让学生积极主动地参与到学习中来。本节课主题为“天气”,此话题学生比较熟悉,因此有更多的机会可以让学生发表意见,提高学生的课堂参与度,同时,由于本年龄段的学生自尊心较强,希望获得表扬,所以在教学过程中给予学生更多的机会表现,更好地照顾到各个层次的学生并加以鼓励,增强学生学习的信心。教学目标: 一、语言技能:1、能听懂听力材料,明白听力材料的内容,完成相关听力练习;2、能准确读出所学单词与句型,单词发音标准,准确掌握句型用法;3、能根据所学知识介绍不同地方的天气;4、能用现在进行时介绍自己及他人正在做的动作二、语言知识:1、能正确掌握单词:weather ,rainy,raining, windy, cloudy, sunny, snowy,snowing2、能掌握以下句型:Hows the weather?/Whats the weather like? Its .What are you doing? Im .What is he/she doing? She/He is What are they doing? Theyre 三、情感态度:1、在学习中,对英语产生兴趣,并有明确的学习目的,达到学习目标;2、在对话以及开展的活动中,勇于参与,敢于用英语与他人进行交流,且能在活动中积极与他人合作四、学习策略:1、通过图片学习、游戏等形式学习相关单词与句型,并运用所学句型询问并介绍不同地方的天气2、通过与同伴合作对话进行单词与句型的巩固加深;3、通过开展活动,创设与学习内容相关的情景并进行表演,达到知识的学以致用五、文化意识:了解“天气”是英美国家经常谈论的话题,懂得观察天气,善于调整自己的情绪,了解世界各地的天气情况,增加世界观念,同时懂得在日常生活中以天气为切入点与同伴进行话题交流。二、教学重难点1、教学重点:与天气相关的词汇以及询问天气的句型2、教学难点:运用目标语言来对天气进行问答,并且会问答其他人正在进行的活动。三、教学过程1、Warming-up and Lead in (1) Greet the Ss (2) Ask students to listen to a song and know about the tope of this lesson2、Presentation (1) (Show some pictures of the weather) Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Ss learn the new words with the help of the pictures, and then tell the Ss the similarities of the description words(2) Play a game “比比谁的眼力好” to consolidate the words(3) Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures. (4) Check the answers. 3、Expressions learning(1) (Show a picture) Ask Ss Hows the weather?(2) Let Ss learn how to ask the other people something about the weather and unstand the usage of the sentences (3) Play a game “摸宝”让一名学生从盒子里摸出一张卡片,全班学生用“Hows the weather?/Whats the weather like?”进行提问,学生根据抽到天气单词卡片(卡片分中文和英文两种)进行回答,同时学生对相对应的天气情况进行说明。(也可变换形式,由老师抽取,全班提问,指定小组或者个人回答)4、Listening (1) look at the city names in the box in 1b. Ask Ss read the cities after the teacher. (2) Ask Ss listen carefully and point out each city in the picture as it comes upon the tape. Play the recording a second time. Ask Ss to write the name of the city in the picture of its weather. (3) Check the answers. 5、Pair work (1) Tell the Ss: If you are in one of the places in the picture above. Talk about the weather with your friends in another city on the phone. (2) Make a model with a student like this:T: Hi! Hows the weather in Beijing?S1: Its sunny. (3) Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer about the weather in the cities. (4) Ask some Ss to act out the conversation6、Activity : “Who is the best reporter ?”(1)Ask Ss to look at the map on the screen and know about the weather in some cities and report the weather of these cities (2) make a competition and find out the best reporter in the class7、Listening 2a&2b(1)Work on 2a. Ask Ss to see what Joes families are doing. Point to the 4 pictures. (2) Ask Ss tell what each person is doing in each picture. (More attentions should be paid to the correct usage of the Present Progressive Tense. ) (3) Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the pictures 1-4. (4) Play the tape for Ss to check the answers. (5) Let Ss match the names with the activities in 2b. (6) Play the recording for the Ss to check the answers. (7) Memory challenge : Give students one minute to remember the activities of the people ,then ask Ss some questions : Whats Uncle Joe/Jeff/Mary/Aunt Sarah doing?8、Pair work (2c)(1) Look at the pictures and talk about the people in 2a with a partner. (2)Ask a student the questions as a model:T: Whats Uncle Joe doing? S1: Hes playing basketb
