Function:1 .Learn to make a polite request and ask for permission. 2 .Talk about the chores. 2. Key vocabulary and target language.1.Key vocabulary: chore, snack, go to the store,invite sb. to do sth,do the dishes, take out the rubbish, fold your clothes, sweep the floor 2. Target language:Could you please clean your room?Yes,sure./Yes,I can. Could I invite my friends to a party?No,you cant havea party,you have a test on Monday. 3. “Could” for polite requests and “could” for permission.II. Ability objects 1.Learn to make a polite request and ask for permission.2.Teach them to talk with people in a polite and proper way.3.Let them know the importance of doing chores.4.To develop their ability of co-operation and communication.III. Moral objects1. Educate students to love their parents and help parents do the housework.2. Let them know the importance of doing chores.3. Try to be polite and get students to be more interested in English.II.Teaching main points and difficulties1. How to make a polite request and ask for permission.2. How to talk with people in a polite and proper way.3. To develop their ability of co-operation and communication.IV. Teaching aids and teaching methods.1. I must give them more chances to practice. Thats “Learning by doing, Learning by using”. In this case, I designed a lot of tasks , and I will lead the students to study in groups and cooperate with each other. Ill also use multi-media. I think, if I want the students to keep interested in English, I must try my best to attract their attention. Multi-media is a good way to do that. At the same time, student-centered is the most important.V. Teaching procedures Step 1 LeadingPlay a song for them.T:Good afternoon, boys and girls!Ss:Good afternoon,Ms Wang!T: Do you know this song感恩父母?Ss:YesNo.T:Why should we thank our parents?Ss:.T:Because they not only work every day,but also take good care of us and do chores every day.So they are tired every day.Especially our mother.Then lead in and play a video about a hard-working mother doing housework.After that,ask them to answer two questions.Step2 Discussion Discuss the questions in groups. Q1: Do you help your parents do the chores at home? Q2: Do your parents ask you to do some things for them or you want to? Q3: What do you often do to help them at home?Then talk about the picture of the housework their mother ask them to do.Step3 Practice(Who has the best eyes?)1. Play a video about snow white and her good friends doing some housework.2. After that ,ask them to tell me “What do the animals do in the video?”Step4 A guessing game1. Show them some pictures of the children doing chores,then let them guess “what kind of chore is he or she doing?”Step5 Challenge your memory.1. Show them some pictures of different kinds of chores,then give them 30 seconds to memorize.2. Then ask some students to tell us their answers.At last,choose the best one.Step6Pairwork1. First explain how to ask their parents for permission.Then make a dialogue with one student.2. Show them some pictures ,and ask them to make dialogues in pairs.3. Give them a few minutes to prpare,then ask some pairs to act out.Step7 Listening(1c and 1d)1. Listen to the dialogues twice,and ask them to finish 1c and 1d.2. Check their answers. 3. Ask them some questions about the dialogue.Step8Groupwork1. If you are having a party. Ask your classmates for help with these things: go to the store, buy drinks and snacks ,do the dishes, clean the living room ,take out the rubbish.2. First,make an example for them,then give them a few minutes to prepare.At last,ask some groups to act out.Step9:Do some exercise and summary.Step10:Homework1. After class, please make some new dialogues with the phrases in 1a.2.
