Difficult pointsa) Experience and understand the sayingPractice makes perfect rightly.b) Act the story in groups.c) Write a new story My midterm test In order to solve these problems, I will use some scientific methods which will be mentioned later, and let the students practice by all means. III Teaching Methods: In this lesson, many teaching methods will be used, such as task-based language teaching method, TPR , communication approach The students will study by these ways: individual work; group work and so on. IV Teaching Procedures: I divide this lesson into 6 steps:Warming-up and Lead-in; Pre-reading; while-reading and practice,Post-reading; Consolidation and Homework. Step1 Warm up&Lead in a) At first,I will sing the songMy schoolbagwith students to attract their attention. Then,I will ask students Do you like singing ? Whos your music teacher ? b)Show the pictures of Zoom and Miss Bird,saying Miss Bird is a music teacher,too.The singing test will come.Can Zoom sing well? Lets watch the video. Step2 Pre-reading a) Play the whole story video in order to make students percept it wholly.Ask students to put pictures in order,so as to they can know the story generally. b)Put pictures in order b) Fast reading with questions,such as Can Zoom sing well ? Will Zoom go to the party ?.and so on to make students get key information through the questions. Step3 While-reading&Practice a)Play the video of each part in the story and show the pictures b) Read the six parts of the story one by one. c) Find answers to the questions,for example,Will Zoom play football ?Will Zoom watch TV?.and so on,so as to improve studentsability of solving problerms in Englis d) Act the six parts in groups to make students experience the story better,meanwhile helping students learn to cooperate. e) Finish “Tick or cross” to obtain useful information through reading the story. Students understand the story deeply and better by above practice activities.Step4 Post-readingGive students three questions”1.At the begining,Can Zoom sing well ? 2.At last,Can Zoom sing well ? 3.How can he sing well?”Students are able to grasp the main structure of the story,besides students can experience and understand the most important saying Practice makes perfect,through answering the three questions . Step5 Consolidation a) Give students a situation: The midterm test is coming.Are you ready?How can you do well in it ?What will happen ? b) Guide students to write a story in groups,according to the situation, in order to develop students ability to use English and their English thought . Step6 HomewokHomework1.Read the story loudly.2.Act the story in groups.3.Please remember Practice makes perfect.4.Finish the new story My midterm test.1.Read the story loudly and corrctly2.
