Warming upA. Ask and answer:Teacher: How are you, boys and girls?S s : Fine, thank you.Teacher: OK ,Do you want to listen to a music?Ss :Yes. Lets listen to a music now, listen to me. What are you doing ? We are listening to themusic.B. Listen to the music ,and learn to sing it. What are you doing ? We are singing the song.(The teacher asks some Ss to answer questions and writes down the verbs in the sentences on the blackboard.)Step 2. PresentationA .1).Show some pictures on the big sceen, Present the new words and expressions.2).Students watch and learn the new words and expressions.3). Ask students try to remember the new words and expressions.4).Then, the teacher ask questions:-Whats he doing? (Picture 1)-Hes reading a newspaper.-Whats he doing? (Picture 2)-He is using the computer.-Whats she doing? (Picture 4)-She is washing the dishes.(Help the students answer the question with body language .)5). Ask and answer just like that, and finish 1a.(Ss can guess the meaning of doing homework, watching TV, cleaning, making soup , talking on a phone ,cleaning and listening to a CD.)1aMatch the activities with the pictures.1. watching TV_2. cleaning _3. reading an ewspaper _4. talking on the phone _5. listening to a CD _6. using the computer _7. making soup_8. washing the dishes _9. exercising_6).Check the answers.The Ss read these V-ing words after the teacher.B. Teach the Present Progressive.Step3. Introduction1) Tell the Ss what the Present Progressive is. (现在进行时表示现在正在进行或发生的动作,它的表现形式为Be Verbs + V-ing -这也即为它的结构式.)2). Ask the Ss to have a look and find the difference between them. For example: go and going, watch and watching, do and doing, etc. Then, ask the Ss to read them again.1.现在进行时态表示现在(说话瞬间)正在进行或发生的动作。如: The students are listening to the teacher. He is watching TV now.现在进行时态还可以表示当前一段时间内的活动或现阶段正在进行的动作。如: We are working on a farm these days . I am writing a book this month一般在动词原形后+ing go ask going asking以不发音的e结尾的,去e, +ing write take close writing taking closing重读闭音节以一个辅音字母结尾的,双写这一字母+ing get run swim put getting running swimming putting3.常与现在进行时态连用的词: now, listen, look等。如: What are you doing now? (你在干什么?) Im reading now. (我现在正在读书) Listen! She is singing. (听,她正在唱歌4.现在进行时由be(am/is/are)+动词-ing形式构成。肯定式结构:主语+be+动词-ing形式+其他.否定式结构:主语+be+not+动词-ing形式+其他.一般疑问句结构:Be+主语+动词-ing形式+其他?特殊疑问句结构:疑问词+be+主语+其他?一般疑问句结构: Be+主语+动词-ing形式+其他?特殊疑问句结构:疑问词+be+主语+doing+其他?5.询问某人正在做某事:What+be+主语+doing?(be=am,is,are)回答:主语+be+V-ing+其他看图比眼力,比口才。A :Whats she doing? B :Shes using the computer.A :Whats he doing? B :Hes reading a newspaper.3). Listen to the tape.Let the Ss get ready to listen to the tape(paper and ball-point pen).1b Listen. What are these people doing? Write the numbers from 1a.Check the answer: 1854) ,Ask and answer questions about what people are doing in the pictures. 1cAsk and answer questionsabout what people are doing in 1a.A :Whats she doing?B :Shes talking on the phoneA :Whats he doing?B :Hes making soup.A :Whats she doing?B :Shes washing the dishes.A :Whats she doing?B :Shes listening to a CD.A :Whatre they doing?B :Theyre watching TVWrite down the three sentences on the blackboard, and ask the Ss to pay attention to the important words underlined:5). Pairwork in group,Ss can practice different sentences upon the verbs on the blackboard.6). Guessing game. The teacher prepare several pieces of paper and there are different actions on it. Ask a pair of Ss to act it out. (Each pair of Ss choose two pieces of paper and act.) 7). Self-assessment. The teacher prepare for the Ss some listening exercises, and play the cassette, let them finish these exercises at once. Then, check the answer. The Ss can understand whether they have learned about the Present Progressive. 8). Do the exercises.The teacher have the Ss some exercises, and ask the Ss to do at once.选择填空:1.What are you doing?
