To know how to use “when” and “while”;2. To learn how to tell a story using the simple past tense and the past progressive tense.教学过程:Step 1 Greeting and lead-inT: Good morning ,class! Look at the picture. What is he doing now?Ss: He is drawing the picture.Then give some pictures and make conversations about them.Step 2 GrammarGive the same pictures and ask:What was he doing at three oclock yesterday afternoon? Students look at the pictures and answer my question! After that, summarize the past progressive tense:含义:表示过去某个时刻正在进行的动作。结构:主语 + be(was/were)+ doing例句:What were you doing at nine last night? I was taking a shower at nine last night.Step 3 Practice1. Look at the picture and make up the sentences. Give some reminders to the studentsEg: When I . , he was doing . When I called him up , he was sleeping.Then ask students to make their own sentences.2.
