Use “Dont .and cant/can “to talk about the rules.Teaching Procedures:Step1. Lead-in1. Show some pictures. Ask the students to guess the theme”rules”.Brainstorming: Ask the Ss to talk about as many pieces rules as they can.3.Show the theme “school rules”.Step2. Presentation1. Show the school rules and some pictures.T:What time is it? Ss:Its 8:25.T:Look! The students are having class. So the girl is late for class.Can we arrive late for class? Ss:No, we cant. T: This is the first school rule. Dont arrive late for class. (write it on the blackboard and ask the Ss to follow)2. Show the other school rules and guide the students to read and understand them. Dont run in the hallways. Dont eat in the classroom. (Why? ) Dont listen to music in class.(Why?) Dont fight. Learn the five rules by fast reaction.(E-C)4.Show the other two rules:You must be on time. You must eat in the dining hall. Ask the students to read them by themselves. Pay attention to “must”.5. Ask students to read aloud and try to remember these expressions.(fast reaction)6. Have memory challenge in groups. See who can say as many school rules as he/she can.
