Teaching Plan forGo for It Grade 8 Unit 9 When was he born? Section B 3a-4 Teaching procedures:Step 1. Lead-in & Guessing Game1. Lead-in. Introduce your hobbies to students then say:This is a picture of me and a person I admire. Can you guess who it is?”2. Guessing Game. “you can ask me no more than ten questions like these.” Student worked out the first one and the others. Step 2.Reading 1. Fast reading. “This is Li Yundi, a well-known pianist. Lets learn more about him. Open your books and turn to page 57.Read 3a quickly and do comprehension exercise. 2. Further reading. “Now read it again and fill in the chart in 3a.For example, ”who can try? when was he born?,”3. Team work. “Now comes your task for team work.” You need to work out the new language points in 3a.For example, I think a well-known pianist is a new phrase, hum is a new word.This sentence is important.and you can write down what you dont understand. Here we go!” now exchange your paper to your partners, see if they can find anything more or even can answer you questions. Present a students work.” Here s a piece of paper from that girl/boy. Lets have a look at what she /he thinks. I really agree with her. Thats a little bit difficult to you. Lets see what Mrs Wu thinks.(学生以小组为单位,列出各自认为的课文中的难点和新知识点。老师再根据学生反映的知识点以学定教,并做补充。) 4. To write about Laura in 2b or a person you admire or write about a person with information I give in groups .Then I will ask some of you and the first three groups to come and show。2. writing After 3,ask a S to come and write about the person he admires. Ask Ss to paste their posters.3. Assessments. “Lets look at the article from that girlhow about Luara?”Now look at these beautiful posters” (布置不同难度的写作作业,学生可自行选择完成。完成后老师从各组中选一做示范。) Step 4 Homework “now homework today. You can choose any two of my assignments. Do you wanna challenge yourself?”家庭作业分成由简到难三个层次: 抄写并记住新单
