Unit 8 How do you make a banana milk shake?一教材及学情分析1. 教材分析本节课的教学内容为人教版八年级上第八单元Section A部分。 本课以谈论制作一种事物的过程为中心话题,通过对祈使句的学习,让学生学会描述某种食物的制作过程并依据指示语做事情。此话题是学生比较感兴趣的话题,与学生的日常生活联系紧密,学生有学习积极性。 通过对制作过程进行实物演练,让学生在创设的情境中不知不觉地学习了过程的描述、真实、直观、高效。主要语言结构为:祈使句的使用;可数名词和不可数名词;How many/ How much 引导的特殊疑问句;first next then finally。2. 学生分析初二的学生已经接触了较多与日常生活相关的词汇和用语, 能用简单的英语表达个人意见,在学习英语的过程中希望能得到他人的肯定。因此在教学活动中应尽量让他们参与到活动中来,有更多的机会来表现自己。教师要为学生创设尽可能多的情景,鼓励学生大胆张口说英语,想方设法减少学生的英语交际恐惧感。利用实物进行演练,让学生在做中学,这样就会极大地激发了学生的学习兴趣和参与意识;通过小组合作学习和实际操作,可以降低学习难度,是每位学生都能体验到成功的喜悦。同时在会话和写作的过程中,提高了他们综合运用语言的能力,是各个层次的学生都学有所得。二 教学目标1. 知识与技能 掌握有关食物的单词, 如shake、milkshake、yogurt、haney. 熟练运用连接词,如:first, then, next, finally;祈使句的使用;熟练使用顺序词和祈使句来描述一种事物的制作过程,熟练掌握how many 和how much 的用法。2. 过程与方法 在教学中通过实物演练、对话、小组合作等多种方式,为学生提供语言交流的平台,创设情境,唤醒和激活学生的智慧,激发学生的参与意识和学习积极性,使学生学会合作,交流,提高沟通能力,构建生活化的精彩课堂。3. 情感态度和价值观1) 通过学习,使学生了解世界各国的饮食文化,进一步树立健康饮食的观念,拓宽学生的知识面。2) 开展任务型活动,为学生提供合作交流的空间和时间,培养学生的合作精神,为完成任务进行探究性学习,培养自立能力。三. 教学重难点:1)学习部分重点词汇Peel、pour、blender、turn on、 put into 、pour into、cut up2)学习叙述制作某一种食物的过程。会使用表示顺序的副词:first, then, next, finally.3) How many / How much引导的特殊疑问句。四 教学准备:1)多媒体课件2)老师准备好各类水果,酸奶,牛奶,水果刀,搅拌机等。五教学过程Step 1 Warming-upPlay a nice English song: Pat a cake.【思路点拨】 播放Pat a cake。让学生在活泼的歌曲中热身,活跃了气氛。歌曲中可爱熊做蛋糕的画面引导学生实际生活,为授课做好铺垫。Step 2 PresentationT:Whats your favorite drink?before the class,l would like to invite you to have a drink.Do you know whats this? Do you want to drink it? There is a cup of drink on your desk,please take out your cup,you can smell and drink it ,after that you should tell me :whats in it?get it ?Next ,ask some students .For making a banana milk shake what else do we need?Then,Show some things that we need to make a milk shake and teach some new words:blander, shake and so on.【思路点拨】通过实物展示,学习部分词汇,极大地提高了学生的学习兴趣,刺激学生能够积极参与到本节课的活动中来,实际操作学习的授课方式要比单纯的讲授更形象,更直观,更有效。Step 3 listening T: Now, boys and girls,there are some students ,they are very thirsty .They want to make something to drink.But what are they making? Ok ,lets do some listening practice.For the First listening,listen and answer my question.Listening carefully. After students answer the question,T:What ingredients do they use?did you still remember?lets listen and check it.T:How to make it?First,what do they do?Let go on with a listening.Listen and put the instructions in order.Ask student one by one,they can put up they hands.After that ,read these steps together.T:Now ,you know how to make a banana milk shake,did you remember?Do not look at the blackboard,only look at the screen.(show some pictures,ask students speak out the steps)First ,what do you do?next.【思路点拨】这一过程是理论学习过程,通过图片展示制作香蕉奶昔的过程,学习本课重点词组,同时为下一步的实际操作做好了充分的准备。Step 4 Practice and sayT:Did you remember?lets check it.Would you please look at the piece of paper.and fill in the blanksT:All of you did a very good job,really have a very good memory.So,lets have a game:who can say faster.from this group ,one by one.just like this:First, peel three bananas.Then,cut up the bananas.Give you one minute to prepare for it.You can go around of the classroom,you can have a talk with each other.(Choose a group PK another group,do this job in the same way three times )【思路点拨】引导学生感知、运用祈使句,通过小组口头练习,加速联系的游戏方式,充分锻炼了学生听、说、读、写各方面的能力。Step 5 Learning by usingActivity I:just sayOK,boy s and girls, Im sure that you all know how to make a milk shake. Do you want to make a milk shake by yourself?Now,its you turn to make a banana milk shake.First ,six students a group,you can choose you partners,and you can do it as I advice you.There are some pieces of white paper,write the step you want to do .for example:First, what you do?.Then,what do you do.T:After few minutes,I will invite one group to come here to make the banana milk shake,(The teacher give out the white paper,students should write down the step on the paper ,then ,ask some groups to show it,turn around the students one by on. ).Activity II: Say and do itTeacher chooses a group ,come to the front of the classroom,. Say the steps and make the shake.Finally,share the banana milk shake with students.【思路点拨】 在理论学习的基础上进行实物演练, 在“用中学”, 使学生兴趣盎然,随者奶昔制作的完成,学生既喝上了自己亲自制作的饮料,又很好的掌握了本节课所学的知识。突出了“How to use”, 强化了 “what to learn”.。Step 8 Summary and HomeworkT:Today ,What we have learned?We have learned how to make a banana milk shake,and how to describe the process,use these words : first,secondly,next,then,and then ,finally.For example:first,peel the banana,then.After class ,if you want to drink something ,you can make it by yourself.But ,do you know how to make fruit salad?OK,this is your homework,you can discuss with your partner or your parents,and you can do it by yourself.Are you happy in this class?if you are happy,please sing a song,OK?【思路点拨】这一步的设计的目的是针对本节课讲过的重点知识进行课后延伸,了解学生的掌握的情况,作业的设计分为巩固性作业和拓展性作业,巩固了基础知识,同时培养了学生运用语言的综合能力, 真正达到了学习语言的目的英语课要注重听说能力,但也不能忽视基础知识的运用能力,毕竟我们的孩子还是要以笔头考试来检验学习情况的,所以,课后作业是必不可少的。最后以孩子们熟悉的歌曲来结尾,激起学生学习的兴趣以及对于下一堂课的期待。1、 What are they making ?A:They are making apple juice.B:They are making banana milk shake.C:They are making fruit salad.2、 Listen and check what ingredients do they use ,listen and .circle.Milk blender ice-cream bananas orange knife honey 3、Listen and put the instructions in order.
