Greet all the students.2.Ask students to say the numbers from 1 to 31and write them down on the blackboard.1. Greet the teacher.2. Number 1 to 30 and spell the words.Step2New wordsStep 2NewWords&1a1.Guide students to answer how many days are there in a month and how many months are there in a year. And ask students what they are in Chinese.2.Write the English names on blackboard then read them one by one and get students to repeat over and over again until they can read fluently.3.Ask a student to stand and answer the Chinese when his/her birthday is, then write the new words when and birthday down and give the Chinese then read them get students to repeat.4.Have students read the words in 1a then invite several students to read individually others listen and correct the wrong pronunciation.1.Answer: There are 30 or 31 days in a month and 12 months in a year.And answer the month names from 一月to十二月2.Read and repeat.3.Answer and repeat4.Read listen and correct the wrong pronunciations.Step 3Targetlanguage1.Ask another student when his/her birthday is and guide him/her to answer.2.Give students the usage of ordinal numbers. Tell them we should use the ordinal numbers when we talk about a specific day.3.Ask 5 or 6 students when his/her birthday. And correct their wrong expressions.1. Answer and think over.2. Give one minute to them to have a look.2. Then play the tape, have students complete 1b. Then check the answers.(the right answer is : 1,2,3)1.Pay attention to the request of 1b. Read dialogs as quickly as they can.2.Listen to the tape and write the right numbers in the boxes in 1b,then check.Step 5Pairwork& 1C1.Invite three pairs to read the conversations in 1b,others correct.2.Divide students into two groups and have them read the dialogs in 1b.3.Invite two or three students to answer when his/her birthday is.4.Have students ask other four students When is your birthday? and write the information down. 5.Ask students remember the days they write down and say Happy birthday! to the person when his birthday comes.1.Read,listen,and correct.2.Read the dialogues in 1b.3.
