What did you do last weekend? -I stayed at home and watched TV. 2. Ability aim: Students will be able to ask othersweekend using the target language 3. Warming up RevisionReview the present tense by asking students questions, Do you like weekend? What do you often do on the weekend? Help the students freely talk about what they often do on the weekend.设计意图:通过谈论学生感兴趣的话题-周末,先复习已学的一般现在时态,再与后面新授内容一般过去时态对比,让学生从视觉上去感知时态的变化。Step2. Lead inLead in todays lesson by enjoying a song-What did you do last weekend?设计意图:以一首轻松的歌曲导入课题,缓改紧张的学习气氛,让学生初步感知新授知识。Step3 PresentationFirst, the teacher tells what she did last Saturday ,then show some pictures on the screen, then ask the students how the teachers weekend was, help the students answer the question. At last ask how was your weekend? What did you do last weekend?T: How was your weekend? (The teacher helps the students answer )S1: It was fine.S2: It was bad. (Teach the sentence“How was your weekend? ”)T: What did you do last weekend? (Students look at the pictures on the screen, the teacher helps them answer.)S1: I cleaned my room last weekend.(Then teach the sentence “What did you do last weekend?”)S2: I washed my clothes last weekend.(Teach the phrases cleaned my room, washed my clothes, stayed at home, watched TV by asking What did you do last weekend? )设计意图:知识呈现部分,让学生准确地掌握动词过去式的发音以及句型结构。并让学生运用所学知识进行口语练习。Step4 Role-playShow some pictures on the screen, and students ask and answer in pairsS1: How was your weekend?S2: It was fine.S1: What did you do last weekend?S2: I. How about you?S1: 设计意图: 学生分角色表演对话,重在训练学生的口语表达能力,并学会运用所学句型询问他人的周末活动。Step5 Listening practiceStudents look at the screen, and listen to the conversation about Chen Jie and Mike twice, then circle the right answers.The answers are: 1 A 2 C D设计意图:学生在熟悉课本句型后,重在训练学生的听力能力。Step6 Do a survey and reportSix students are in a group, talk about their last weekend. Ask and answer with the knowledge that they learned just now each other, then fill in the chart. At last, ask one of the students in a group to report their survey.For example: Last weekend, two students washed their clothes, two students cleaned their room设计意图:此部分是本课的一个难点,要求学生运用本课知识与同学合作交流。培养学生合作探究的能力以及书面表达能力。Step7 Activity-My last Saturday/Sunday Have the students talk about their last weekend freely.
