Unit 7 Its raining. Section A (1a-1c)一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:1) 能掌握以下单词: rain, windy, cloudy, sunny, snow, weather能掌握以下句型: Hows the weather in Beijing? / Whats the weather like in Beijing? Its sunny.2) 能用所学的知识描述天气情况。 3)描述正在发生的动作。 2. 情感态度价值观目标:教育学生善于观察天气,善于调整自己的情绪;了解世界各地的天气情况,增加世界观念。知道大自然的力量是神奇而伟大的,我们应当好好学习,立志学好科学知识,为长大后探索神奇的大自然,打好基础。 二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) The vocabulary and useful expressions. 2) Hows the weather? / Whats the weather like?Its raining/ windy. 3) What are you doing? Im playing basketball. 2. 教学难点:运用目标语言来对天气进行问答,并复习问答其他人正在进行的活动的句型。3、 教学过程I. Warming-up and Review1. Greeting and then divide Ss into 3 groups.2. Review the sentences used to talk about what people are doing. Show some pictures and ask Ss what are the people doing.II. Presentation 1. Words (Show some pictures of the weather) Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures: weather, sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy/raining,snowy/snowing. 2. Sentences and practice (1) Watch a video about a song: Hows the weather? At the first time, ask Ss to listen to the song; At the second time, let Ss to sing it together. (2) Write the sentences on the blackboard: Hows the weather today? Its. Then show some pictures about the weather and ask Ss to answer: How is the weather today? After that let boys ask and girls answer to review these sentences. Tell Ss that we can also ask about the weather with the sentence: What is the weather like? And write it on the blackboard. Then practice it by asking and answering. If they are right, give their groups 1 point.III. Activities1. Review the new words and use them to ask questions about the weather.Then ask some Ss to do it again in the front of the classroom. If they are right, give their groups 1 point.2. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures. 1a Match the words with the pictures a-e. raining _ windy _ cloudy _ sunny _ snowing _ Then check the answers and ask Ss read the words together. Keys: a b e c d 3. Listening (1b) (1). Now lets look at the city names in the box in 1b. Please read after me. Ss read the cities after the teacher. Practice: pair-work 1. Imagine you are in one of the places in 1a. Talk about the weather with your friend on the phone.2. Make a model with a student like this:T: Hi! Hows the weather in Beijing?S1: Its sunny. Then invite some pairs of Ss to share their conversations in front of the class. If they are right, give their groups 2 points.3. Ask and answer about the weather in the cities. The teacher ask and the Ss answer. Hows the weather in Shanghai? Its cloudy. Hows the weather in Moscow? Its snowy. Hows the weather in Toronto?
