Before the reading, you need to have a look at the questions i the box. Then read the passage with these questions. Find out the answers to them from the article. Later,Ill invite some of you to answer them. At the same time, underline some difficult words or expressions.Give students several minutes to read and find out the answers.As they work, move around the room checking their pronunciation and intonation.Step Practice1. Teach Activity 3b.Lead students to read the instruction and have a look at the headline in the chart to know what to do in this activity and how to do it.Give them time to read the passage again and complete the chart individually.Later, invite some students to check the answers.2. Activity 3c.Give students several minutes to do this task.As they work, move around the room checking the progress.Finally, check the answers together and correct mistakes if any.Step SummaryIn this class, before the reading we summed up the goal language and revised the kowledge learned in last period.
