Ask the students to free talk by using the words in 2a.Then ask the students some questions about pandas. (eg: Where do pandas live? What do they look like? What do they eat? How are they now?)Step 3 ScanningGive the students practice in scanning for specific information about the four numbers in 2b.Give the students a short time limit of three minutes. Have the students do the activity as quickly as possible. Then check the meanings of the four numbers.Ask the students to feel free to talk about something from the four sentences.Ask the students to read the passage again then match the main ideas of each paragraph.Step 4 Further readingAsk the students to scan the reading passage. Underline the information by scanning the passage. Then write down the answers to the questions in 2c.Check the answers with the students.Step 5 Practice Ask the students to read the passage again then fill in the practice in 2d.Check the answers.Step 6 PracticeFor further reading, ask the students fill in the chart.
