I hope the students can learn the months of the year by learning this song. Play the next song to lead the new topic “About your birthday”. Listen to a birthday song, and ask the students about themselves. From the song, the teacher do some surveys about the students birthday. Give students some questions:Do you like this song?Do you like your birthday?Why do you like your birthday?When is your birthday?How old are you? Step4:Practice the monthsLook at the screen, practice the month of the years.Step5:Review and play a game We have Learnt ordinal numbers in last class. Lets review the number words .Play a game in class. Let some students prepare a piece of a paper. Some students wrote some ordinal number words on the piece of the paper. For example, one student read the cardinal numbers “one”, the student with the ordinal number words should stand up quickly and say “first”. Let every student practice more.Step7:Reading Read the conversation together. Let the students practice more. Practice makes perfect.Step8:Listening Listen to the tape, and pay attention to 1b.Number the conversations from 1 to 3.Step9:Pairwork Make conversations with your partners by using “When is your birthday? My birthday is.”Other students listen to them carefully and later you should report what they said. Give students five minutes to practice in order to make their conversations more fluently.Step10:Homework1. Learn the song of the months.2.
