Unit 4 Why dont you talk to your parents?Section A 2 (3a-3c)一、教材分析本课的中心话题是通过两封信谈论同学们生活及学习中的问题和困难并提出合适的建议,从而展开教学活动。是英语教学中拓展学生思维的重要环节。二、 学情分析由于当代中学生绝大多数是家里的独生子女,所以养成了他们很多人以我为中心的心理,他们中有些人社会意识淡薄,认识不够深刻,学习方法比较单一,知识掌握不牢固,但好奇心较强,应采用形象生动,形式多样的教学方法去激发学生学习的兴趣.三、教学目标:1. 语言知识目标:1) 学习掌握下列词汇:get on with; relation, communication, argue, cloud, elder, instead, whatever, nervous, offer, proper, secondly, communication, explain, clear 2)阅读短文,能按要求找到相应的信息。3)通过阅读提高学生们的阅读能力。4) 了解在如果生活中发生了一些不尽如人意的问题,应当如何面对理性地去解决。2. 情感态度价值观目标:人的一生并不都是一帆风顺的,难免有一些挫折的困难,如果生活中发生了一些不尽如人意的问题,我们学会冷静对待,学会合理的办法去理性地去解决。 3、学习策略:(1)自主学习:要求学生采用自主学习的方式,能根据需要进行有目的的预习。(2)合作学习:在活动中相互探讨,相互交流与合作,从而获得知识、技能和情感体验。四、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 掌握本部分出现的生词和词组,达到熟练运用的目标。2) 阅读短文,获得相关的信息。通过阅读练习,来提高阅读能力。2. 教学难点:1) 阅读短文,获得相关的信息的能力。2) 理解并运用所学的词汇及表达方式。五、教学过程Step 1 Revision and lead in 1Lets enjoy a song Trouble is a friendTrouble will find you no matter where you go, oh oh无论你走到哪儿 麻烦都会找到你No matter if youre fast, no matter if youre slow, oh oh无论你多快 无论你多慢 The eye of the storm wanna cry in the morn, oh oh暴风肆虐后的场景在清晨让你哭泣Youre fine for a while, but you start to lose control你一会儿感觉良好 可是却开始失控Hes there in the dark, hes there in my heart他在黑暗中 他在我心中He waits in the wings, hes gotta play a part他张开翅膀等待 他伺机出动Trouble is a friend; yeah trouble is a friend of mine麻烦是朋友 yeah 麻烦是我的朋友Trouble is a friend, but trouble is a foe, oh oh麻烦是朋友 可是麻烦是敌人And no matter what I feed him he always seems to grow, oh oh不管我喂他吃什么 他似乎都在成长He sees what I see and he knows what I know, oh oh我看到的他都看到 我知道的他都知道2 Brainstorm Do you have any problems in your daily life? What are they?Step 2 Word Presentation1. relation n. 关系;联系;交往e.g. Their relation seemed quite close. 他们的关系看起来很亲密。2. argue v. 争吵;争论e.g. The couple began to argue about the childs education.那对夫妇开始就孩子的教育问题争吵。3. proper adj. 正确的;恰当的e.g. Its not proper to visit a friend too late in the evening. 太晚了,去看朋友不合适。4. nervous adj. 焦虑的;担忧的e.g. Dont be nervous. It is just a small test. 不要紧张。就是个小测试而已。5. clear adj. 清楚易懂的;晴朗的e.g. The sun shone out of a clear sky. 天空晴朗,阳光灿烂。Step 3 ReadingWork on 3a: 1. Tell Ss to read the article in 3a quickly and try to find the answers to these questions: Whats Sad and Thirteens problem?How does he feel at home?方法指导:带着问题,然后快速阅读短文,争取在较短的时间内,找到答案。学生们,按老师指导的方法进行阅读,并快速回答这两个问题。最后,教师让部分学生回答答案,并校对答案。2. Ss read the article carefully and fill in the mind-map.学生们认真阅读短文,并在表格中填出男孩Sad and Thirteen面临的问题,并填写出罗波特先生所给出的建议。和同学们一起校对答案。Problems: 1 Whats his problem? Instead he watches whatever he wants until late at night.1) instead adv. 代替;反而;却e.g. If we cant go to Huashan Mountain, well go to the city of Xian for the trip. 如果我们不能去爬华山,我们就去西安游玩。辨析:instead 是副词,常置于句子末尾。instead of 是介词短语,后接名词、代词、动名词等。 例如:Last summer I went to Qingdao. This summer Im going to Dalian instead. 去年夏天我去了青岛。今年夏天我要去大连。 Instead of going to Qingdao Im going to Dalian this year. 今年我打算去大连,而不去青岛。2) whatever pron. 任何;无论什么 相当于 no matter what e.g. Whatever I suggest, he always disagrees. 无论我提什么建议,他都不同意。3. If your parents are having problems, you should offer to help.offer v. 主动提出;自愿给予offer侧重主动或愿意给予,主动提出做某事。常用结构:offer sb. sth. 或offer to do sth.e.g. She offered me a cup of tea. 她给我端了杯茶。 He offered to go instead of me. 他主动提出代替我去。4. Secondly, why dont you sit down and communicate with your brother?communicate v. 交流;沟通communicate with sb. 与某人交流e.g. Li Mei can easily communicate with foreigners in English. 李梅能用英语与外国人轻松交流。5. Can you explain to me how to do this math problem? explain v. 解释;说明1. explain + that / what/ why 等从句2. explain sth. (to sb.)(向某人)解释某事e.g. Can you explain what this means? 你能解释一下这个的意思吗? Please explain it to me. 请你向我解释一下吧。Step 6 oral workFloating bottles. There is a problem in each bottle.Instruction:1、A student chooses one bottle2、The group members of this student should give advice in 40seconds. When they finish, other groups can give new advice in 20 seconds, but the advice should not be the same.3、Then the student who ask for help should say if he agrees or not, other students who gives a piece of advice can get 1 point for the group.4、At last , the group leaders should report how to solve the problem.Step 7 summary and homework1 Remember the language points.2 Write two problems and try to give advice.3 Make sentences with these words:argue; whatever; instead; nervous; explain; offer to do sth.; communicate with课堂实践后反思:本节课的教学活动层层递进,并贴近生活,具有可实践性。作为这节课的教学反思,我想谈谈自己在教学过程中比较满意的地方,以及自己的教学不足之处。 首先,以学生的发展为本。在本教学设计中我先精心准备贴近实际生活的任务活动,深入简出,让学生模拟真实的语言环境进行语言操练。通过本节课的阅读教学,提高学生们的阅读能力。同时让他们懂得人的一生并不都是一帆风顺的,难免有一些挫折和困难,我们要学会冷静对待,学会合理的办法去理性地去解决。其次,本节课完成了预定的教学任务,重点词组和句型比较突出,难点也得到了解决。大部分同学都能积极参与进来,Step 4 Reading 1. Tell Ss to read the article in 3a quickly and try to find the answers to these questions等问题设置的比较简单,大部分同学都可以轻松地找出答案。第三,环节与环节之间过
