引导时间状语从句的连词 主要有 when while as by the time before after since till until as soon as 等 其中 when while 和 as 都可表示 当 时候 但用法有区别 when 意为在 时 可表示点时间或段时间 从句谓语可以是终止性动词 也可 以是延续性动词 例如 When I got home he was having ll stay here until you come back 我会呆在这里 直到你回来 stay 表示的动作可以持续 He didn t go to bed until he finished his homework 他直到做完作业才睡觉 go to bed 表示的动作不能持续 2 引导原因状语从句的连词 原因状语从句一般由 because since as for 引导 注意 as because since 和 for 的区别 如果原因是构成句子的最主要部分 一般用 because because 引导的从句一般不放 在句子的开头 例如 I missed the train because I got up late 注 注 对于以 why 开头的问句 一般只能用 because 引导的从句来回答 如果原因已为人们所知 或不如句子的其余部分重要 就用 as 或 since
