They are listening to music.2. 了解现在进行时的定义、构成及现在分词的变化规则。二、学情分析 Students in Grade 7 now are interested in learningEnglish, and the present progressive,the new grammartheywill learn is comparatively easy for them to learn. However, students in our class, who are from rural schools have a weak English foundation. Besides, students are notwilling to communicatewith others. Meanwhile, students are atdifferent levels.三、重点难点重点:Its important forstudents to master the key activityphrases and sentences below: watching TV, cleaning, reading a newspaper, talking on the phone, listening to a CD, using the computer, making soup, washing the dishes, Exercising; Its also important forstudents to learn to use the sentences below to communicate with others. What are you doing? Im watching TV. Whats he doing? Hes talking on the phone. What are they doing? They are listening to music.难点:Students will feel difficult to master the definition, the forms, the rules to change verbs into their V-ing forms.四、教学过程Step 1 Leadin1.Share a song named What are you doing? Remind the students to pay more attention to the red words in the lyrics on the big screen.The students can sing along with the music while listening. The teacher sing the song together with the students.Step 2 Finsh1a1.Match the activities with the pictures in 1a. Students will be given about 3 minutes to finish this task.2.Check the answers on the big screen.3. Ask the students to look at the V-ing forms included in the activities, and try to write down their original forms on the guiding paper.Step 3 Finish1b1.In this part, students will listen to the tape three times in all to finish two tasks. (1) In the first time, just listen. In the second time, finish Task 1 in the guiding paper. For the third time, check their answers.(2) In the first time, just listen. In the second time, Finish the task of1b. For the third time, check their answers.(3) Present the listening material on the big screen, let the students read it together and role play.Ask several pairs to make a presentation.Step 4 Finish1c1.The students will learn the dialogue in 1c with their partners.2.The teacher will show some pictures to the students on the big screen.
