They will also learn names of watching TV, doing,eating,cleaning,playing,swimming,reading and so on. Students are interested in talking about everyday activities using the drills: What are you doing?Im watching TV. What is she/he doing? She/ He is singing. What are they doing? They are watching TV.This lesson is the 1st period of Section A,I first provides names of activities to learn.Then I introduces the drills,let students learn the drill from I,she,he to them,then use the drills to practice.Next,play a guessing game to practice again.Last,do some exercises an write some simple sentences.二Teaching aims: (教学目标)1.Knowledge goals :.Learn the new words and the phrases: newspaper , use ,soup ,wash ,read a newspaper ,make soup ,talk on the phone, listen to a CD ,use the computer ,wash the dishes.Target languages: What are you doing?Im watching TV. What is she doing? She is singing. What are they doing? They are watching TV. .Grammar: Show Present Progressive Tense2.Abilty goals:.Can use the new words and phrases to make their own conversations.Learn to talk about what people are doing , to train students speaking skill and communicative skill.Train studentslistening skill.Can write simple sentences of Present Progressive Tense.3.Moral goals: .Learn to make statements about themselves. .Learn to report what people are doing.三Teaching important and difficult points:(教学重难点) 1. Learn the new words ,the phrases and the target languages ,use them to communicate2. Show Present Progressive Tense , and write simple sentences of Present Progressive Tense.四Teaching Preparation:(教学准备) A tape recorder, multimedia courseware,CAI。五Teaching steps:(教学过程)(一)Warming up and revision 1.Watch VCD which is connected with the present progressive tense.(观看课前热身歌曲MV)2.Revision:Show the title of this lesson ,let students look at the picture(watch TV图片). T :Do you like watching TV?Ss: .T : What do you usually do on weekends?S1: I usually do my homework.S2: I usually play computer games.T: Today ,we will learn some new activities, do you want to know?(二) Presentation 1. Learn the the new words and the phrases: (1). The teacher shows a picture of watching TV.(watch TV图片)S1:“ watching TV” T: And what about this picture?(Show a picture of cleaning)S2:“clean” T: And what about this picture? (Show a picture of reading a newspaper)S3: “read a newspaper”(2).Show students more pictures and get them to learn more phrases(Show more pictures) : read a newspaper ,make soup ,talk on the phone, listen to a CD ,use the computer ,wash the dishes,clean.(3).Look at the phrases and try to say the meanings.(Show the phrases)(4).Read the phrases together ,and then call a student to read them,the other students read after him/her.2.Match the activities with the pictures, call some students to say their answersand check them.(Do activity 1a on their books)3.Learn the target languages:(1).The teacher asks a student to do an action and present the following sentences:T: What are you doing?S1 Im doing homework. T: What are you doing?S2: Im playing the guitar.T: What are you doing?S3: Im eating breakfast.(2) Show some pictures (Show some pictures about some activities)and let students to practice. . The first time,the teacher asks and the students answer ,then read the conversations.Let Ss to look at more pictures ,ask and answer in pairs like this:A: What are you doing? B: Im drawing. What are you doing?A: Im playing volleyball.(3)Show some pictures to the Ss and present the sentences:(Show some pictures)T: Look at the picture. What is he doing?S1:He is reading a bookT: What is he doing?S2: He is cleaning the room. T: What is she doing?S3: She is talking on the phone.(4)Practice:Let Ss look at the pictures, ask and answer in pairs. The teacher shows the pictures one by one.S1: What is he doing?S2: He is S3: What is she doing?S4: She is (5)Show some pictures to the Ss and present the sentences:(Show some pictures)T: Look at the picture. What are they doing?S1: They are(6)Practice:Let Ss look at the pictures, ask and answer in pairs. S2: What are they doing?S3: They are4.Match the words with the activities (work on 1a) Show the picture in 1a to the students.T: This is a happy apartment. There are many rooms in it. Look! Many people are in different rooms. They are doing different things. What are they doing? Please look carefully, match the words with the activities.T: Now lets check the answers.Answer: 1,i 2,d 3, g 4,a 5, h 6, e 7,b 8,c 9,f(三)Practice:1.Work on 1b:Listen.What are these people doing? Write the numbers from 1a.2. Play a guessing game.( Show some guessing pictures)Show some pictures of doing something ,cover some parts of the pictures ,let students to guess “What is he/she doing? ” Or “What are they doing ? ”(四)Summary :1.Show some sentences of Present Progressive Tense,let students look at them carefully and try to find the key grammar points.(Show some sentences of Present Progressive Tense)2.
