It can make students learn to give their help to people in need. The grammar is about verb phrases and the usage of could.二 学情分析 The students in grade 8 who have learnt English for several years have mastered the ways to improve English . However, most students are still afraid of speaking in public. So they really need to practice. At the same time, they also need to learn some grammar. Thus, they also need some exercises during every class.三 教学目标 Knowledge and ability goals: To learn some new words and expressions about verb phrases To be able to offer help to others To be use could to give advice Process and method goals: To master the topic by speaking ,listening and writing. To develop students cooperation spirits. Emotion and attitude goals: To let students learn to offer help to others. Try to be a useful teenagers.四 重点难点 Key points: Master Put off, cheer, clean up, hand out, notice,lonely,sick,help Be able to make conversations with could Difficult points: Be able to conclude what they could do to be a volunteer. 五 教学策略选择与设计 1 Interest activity strategy To design topic they are familiar with. 2Team cooperation To let team finish every task with clear aims. 3 Team competitionTo use group marks to encourage students to be more careful. And at last, judge every group . 七教学过程 活动1(导入) Show learning aims and lead-in T: Ask students : Do you think our life is good? Maybe most of us think that our life is wonderful. However, there are many people who suffer from the poverty , the hunger or even the illness.Ss: look at the pictures on ppt and talk about them.活动二(讲授及测试)2 warming up Read some new words and sentences. Ask students to finish exercise one on guide case. Teacher checks one student of every group and write down their marks on the blackboard.活动3 (小组活动)oral practice Ask student to make conversations by using the sentences in 1a and 1b. Each group choose two students to show their conversations. Teacher give every pair proper marks.活动 4 (练习)listening practice Listen for the first time and fill in the blanks in 2b. Listen for the second time and answer questions: When is the clean-up day/ What do they plan to do?活动 5 (讲授)explanations At first, let students learn language points by themselves.
