Teach 2a.Talk about what kind of food people eat on special holidays in China. 2. Teach the new words: Thanksgiving, traditional, autumn, traveler, celebrate, mix, pepper, fill, plate, cover, serve, temperature 3.Tell the students the English reading skills: skimming and scanning. 4.Teach 2b. Show some pictures about Thanksgiving Day and turkey ,encourage students to say as much as they know about the holiday. Then ask students to read the article silently and number the pictures according to the instructions of making a turkey dinner. III Practice1. Teach 2c.
