Review the knowledge on the present progressive tense. 2. Check the homework and let some Ss read their sentences.eg: My father is reading.My mother is washing.My sister is studying.My brother is playing games.My pet cat is looking at my brother. Step2 Presentation 1.让学生仔细看2a的钟表图片并回答:Its 8:00 a.m. in Beijing now, what time is it in Tokyo/New York / Sydney?2.Lets learn the new words and key sentences according to the pictures.3. 先播放有关端午节的视频,讨论了解端午节那天人们干什么。再看书中插图猜:What is this passage mainly about? What do people eat on this day?再听录音找出:Where is Zhu Hui on the Dragon Boat Festival? Who is Zhu Hui living with in New York?What does he wish to have?然后出示Zhu Hui 图片并介绍:This is Zhu Hui. He is from Shenzhen, but now hes studying in the United States. Hes living with an American family in New York. 4. 教师让学生快速读课文并回答: 1) Why are Zhu Huis family watching boat race and making zongzi? 2) Does Zhu Hui like his host family? What about his home in China? 5.Read the article . Then fill in the chart below.Members Activities Zhu Huis family in China. Its 9:00 am. Today is the Dragon Boat Festival. Then check the answers with the class. 6.展示课文原文,进行课文重点句子讲解。7.Practice:根据所给图片复述课文。8.Work on 2c Now lets look at the chart in 2c. You should match the verbs in column A with the words in column B. Then use the phrase to write sentences according to the TV report. Make sure Ss know what to do. 阅读指导:1) 读表格中的词汇,根据短文内容,将左右两栏的内容连在一起。2)可以先将记得清楚的词汇连在一起,最后连接较为模糊一点的词组。3)带着这些词组再去读短文,找到相关词组的地方,然后明确所连的词组是否正确。4)比照课本上的句子,再用这些词组造句子。Zhu Hui is living with a family in the US.
